Question about LG CHOCOLATE VX8500 Cellular Phone

Each time a call comes through, it audible states: verizon wireless. Went to the verizon shop today and less than helpful person went into sounds settings and put it on "ring only" in caller id readout. It hasn't changed a thing. How do I stop this annoying feature?

You need to go to the Menu option and than go to Sounds, Go to Service Alerts and than go to Call Connect and turn that to Off and go to ERI and turn that to Off. That should solve your problem.

your ethernet card went bad look at ethernet cord right down info take to computer shop or walmart and replace ethernet cord most of time it compatable to any windows any eathernet card now sound card different.

Get a new phone!! Don't even bother turning this in for another one. I'm on my 4th rival in less than a year and all the first 3 did the same thing. Now, my fourth one is coming off its hinge where it slides up!

I have the same problem with my 3 year old Dell 32 inch Tv


Yesterday I went to the pawn shop and purchased a Sony receiver they just got it in a couple a days (pawn shop) ago. The receiver is in great shape still had the stickers on them for less than 100.00. We hooked the speaker and the cords black/yellow/red to the in/out in back of the TV and the receiver. Wow! Great surround sound and the TV works like new. Please do not go and buy a sound board you will be wasting your money and the same thing will happen again and again. Dell sucks!

Thanks for everyone's help. We fixed the problem. It was as simple as a hole in the oil filter. We went to a shop, the person there put the car on a rack, removed the filter and we found a small to medium size hole. We would have never found this, but we had a repair person that believed in looking for the less obvious. Thanks all.

LG VX-9700 and bluetooth headset cuts out and choppy


Solution is questionable. Talked to Verizon Tech (Good support) and shortly to Plantronics. Both claimed to know nothing of a problem with the LG Dare and Bluetooth. Went back to the Verizon shop in the Mall to get it checked. We duplicated the problem on both phones and also used their phones (not the VX-9700). So, they are sending two new LGs to us via FedEx. When we came back to pick up the phones, the Tech did some research and did find info (Verizon) and Bluetooth. He did not elaborate.
Also there IS a Firmware Update for the VX-9700 and you must take it in to a Verizon that has a flash machine to upgrade the probably 03 to the latest, 05.

Thanks Also, hope this helps someone else experiencing Bluetooth problems.

I used to have the same phone. Now I went to the brand new chocolate. What happened with mine was that I dropped it to many times ... = /. They also said it could have to many things on it.
