Move the safety sensors out of the sun, You can try to put up a piece of cardboard or something to sheild the eyes from the sun ( do not block the lenz of the eyes)

I'm a license electrician, I can only think of two possiblities, either the sun is interfering with an infrared safety switch or it's causing your safety switch mechanism to overheat.
The most common is the floor level beam, if possible try to shade your safety switch plus a few inches beyond the lense.
If you have the touch strip on the bottom of the door I'm afraid I don't have a solution beyond replacing the strip and I'm not sure that will work.

Owners Manual for Chamberlain Garage Door opener. Model 2265R

Unfortunately, the 2265R is not a Chamberlain supported model. The manuals for supported garage door openers are list here: http://www.chamberlain.com/parts-and-support/installation-manuals . The manual for the 2265 is here: http://www.chamberlain.com/CatalogResourcesV3/en-us/shared/files/tucmanuals/A2497M.PDF . There is also the 2265C: http://www.chamberlain.com/CatalogResourcesV3/en-us/shared/files/tucmanuals/A2512M.PDF .

It could be that the 2265R is a refurbished model. Then the manual for the 2265 garage door opener will give you the the correct manual.

In my experience, when the garage door goes down partway and then reverses completely, the problem is something breaking the light beam between the safety sensors. This can be a piece of grass or the shadow from the door when one or both sensors are getting full sun. If the problem is some weed getting pushed into the sensor range, simply cut the nearby grass shorter. To check if the problem is a shadow, try getting a couple of people to stand near (but outside) of the garage door. They should be positioned to cast a shadow on the sensors. If the door closes properly when the button is pressed, then the solution is to wait for a slightly different sun position to close the door or to continue to hold the button on the wall panel.

I hope this helps.

Why would a Craftsman model 139.53985DM garage door opener not open when it is cold outside?

Safety light issue. Blocked beam. Misaligned beam. Or broken wire.

My garage door opens fine, just wont close with remotes. Lights just flash. I have to use the opener in garage and keep the button pressed in till the door is fully closed or it will reverse.

Clean both safety sensors lens located at the bottom of the garage door frame. Make sure both sensors led lights are lit. If not they are out of alignment and you will have to loosen the wing nut on the sensor that is lit and move it, trying to get the other sensor to light.

I have Garage Door Opener from Sears. Wall push button & the the remote from my car open the door OK , but it does not close the door from my car (which is programmed) Wall push button close the door...

If the main light flashes 10 times when the door reverses to the open position it is a door sensor problem. Make sure the sensors are pointed at one another and the small light on each one is lit and not flickering. Tweak them a bit. If you cannot get both lights to come on you have bad sensors.

Craftsman LiftMaster Chamberlain Garage Door Opener Wireless Keypad Model 976LM Security+: Can I bypass the sensors on my garage door opener?...

You cannot bypass the sensors but you can try reversing their position so that the sun isn't hitting the receiving unit. You can also move them back from the door or use something like the tube inside a roll of toilet tissue to shade the lens.

Sears garage door opener troubleshooting yellow sensor light, what does it mean< how do I correct, door keeps reversing about a foot before closing completely

It is possible that there is an obstruction hitting the infrared beams causing the door to go back up. There should be a safety mechanism with sensors on each leg of the garage door track with and infrared beam (invisible to the eye) in case pets or children walk under the door when its closing so it will not crush them. Make sure the sensors are clear of obstructions, and check for objects stuck to the bottom of the door. When the door comes down a wet leaf stuck to the bottom of the door will hit the beam and signal it to go back up. Make sure the sensors are pointed at each other correctly ( they might have moved or been hit) and lastly there are settings on the head unit for travel and force. Travel will make doors move further down or up (distance wise) while force pushes or pulls the door up and down harder. Be careful if you adjust these settings, by doing it one at a time, with very little increments. I hope this helps and good luck!

Garage Door Wont Close Craftsman 1/2 HP (1998)

What it is is the electric beams at the door are getting blinded buy the sun or out of line. They are the two black boxes on both sides of the door about a foot from the ground. Put a piece of card board in front of them not blocking the beam dut to block the sun. All that they are is safety beams for kids so they do not get hurt. If you have to move them to the top where the sun will not hit them. Sorry to say though you can not remove them all the way. Also make sure the lite on them is not blinking if so they are out of line.

My garage door will not stay down when I try to close it.

IF THE DOOR CLOSES ALL THE WAY WHEN HOLDING DOWN THE WALL BUTTON AND REVERSES 6" FROM THE FLOOR WHEN NOT HOLDING THE BUTTON.
I WOULD GUESS THAT THE SAFETY EYES ARE MOUNTED ON THE TRACK.
WHEN THE DOOR CLOSES THE TRACK AT THE BOTTOM IS TOO TIGHT CAUSING IT TO FLEX AS THE DOOR GETS NEAR THE BOTTOM. WHEN THE TRACK FLEXES THE EYES ARE POINTING FURTHER AWAY FROM THE DOOR AND EVENTUALLY THEY ARE TOO FAR OUT OF ALINMENT AND THE LED WILL GO OFF - THE DOOR GOES BACK UP.

SOLUTION: YOU CAN USE THE CLAW END OF A HAMMER TO TAP THE TRACK OUT A LITTLE WIDER - TAP NEXT TO THE WALL ON THE BRACKET THAT HOLDS THE TRACK TO THE WALL. MOVE THEM ABOUT 1/4" EACH SIDE.

OR

YOU CAN MOUNT THE BRACKETS TO THE WALL OR THE FLOOR.

THIS SHOULD SOLVE IT

HAVE A GREAT DAY
