Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
Error 5700 means paper feed position sensor error (ASF-cam sensor error). This error often happens in consequence of a paper jam, as the sensor can get jammed or damaged.
Try resetting the printer by disconnecting the power cord for five minutes. While the printer is disconnected inspect the printer for fragments of paper.Check paper feeder, inspect tabs, remove and put back cassette.
If the error does not clear, then the printer must be taken apart to inspect the ASF section of the Main Unit for an eventual gap between the white plastic guide and the Chassis, that is usually the cause for 5700 error.
Here the troubleshooting for cam sensor error, it is the same as troubleshooting for error 5700.
