Question about GE WSM2700D Top Load Stacked Washer / Dryer
Thanks for using FixYa. To remove the top use a pry tool or a putty knife and insert it straight in from the front at each corner and push in while lifting up. You should feel the release tabs push in and the console will pop up. Open the screws under them. There is lid switch connector under the console. Unplug the switch from the connector. Now you can access the lid clips. To remove the agitator you’ll need to remove the bolt and lift it with both hands from the underneath. If it is stuck and can not removed easily then apply some WD40 and let it sit overnight before trying to pull it out. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

1 First you must determine the brand of washing machine you have.
Maytag and Admiral washers are very similar to remove. General Electric, (GE) is different, To remove a GE agitator simply pull upwards very hard, GE agitators snap on. Be careful not to pop it into your mouth, that really hurts.
