Question about Sony KDF-E42A10 42 in. LCD Television
Tv was on... then it made a pop sound....no picture or sound.....is it just the bulb? I was concerned because I didn't hear any sound
Actually there aren't any "tubes" in that set at all. The display is LCD. I would suspect the display (the LCD part) last. It's more than likely suffered a failure in the power supply, possibly some other section of the set.
I suggest that it's time to take it to a professional for a diagnosis. There isn't a thing you can do to correct this condition without taking the set apart.
