Make sure your flow sensor moves freely. Soak the unit in vinegar if it looks dirty
I would also try bleeding the system run your pump with the bleeder screw on top of the filter cartridge open a few turns Just enough to allow the water and air to flow do this for a minute or so and then tighten the screw

Low flow code 90 brand new intex sand filter

when mine does this, I open the skimmer cover until I can hear air escaping. Let some air out and then turn the cover back on. Also I will turn the valve open on the intake hose and then put back on. Just keep doing things like that to get the water flow started. It eventually starts.

Hi, my 2002 malibu hesitate and whistle when I accelerate. It only works fine under 20mph, but when it exceed, it whistles and hesitate on accelerating. On highway, it barely goes up to 60mph and when...

Whistle noise indicates a major vacuum leak. Maybe something loose in the intake system. Maybe a vacuum hose disconnected. Will explain lose of power also.

Our system continues to give a 90 code reading even though we have a big enough filter pump to push enough water through the system. Everything is tight and the system is clean. how do we correct this...

Code 90 indicates that the water flow rate is not high enough for the system to operate properly. This is measured by a white plastic piece hinged from the top of the pipe. As water flows by the plastic piece gets pushed back and up against the top of the pipe so that it touches a sensor. A couple of solutions are as follows or a combination of these:
1) make sure that all pipes and filters are clean and clear. Leaves or other stuff will slow the water flow.
2) check that the clorinator is clear of any blockage or dirt.
3) unscrew the flow meter and pull out to check that the hinge is clean and the plastic piece moves freely.
4) when you put the flow meter back in place try turning it ever so slightly which might make a difference. This has worked sometimes for me.
5) make sure that the clorinator is level. I tilted my unit so that the inlet side is slightly higher than the outlet as an experiment and this works as well since I was trying to get the flow valve to travel less distance.(it's a geometry issue)
6) make sure there is no air stuck in the lines. Try lifting the pipes/tubes to move air out and make sure you bleed your pump to ensure that it is full of water and there is no air trapped here that would reduce flow.
7) try taking any nozzle off the hose going into the pool. These may slow the flow coming into the pool and cause back pressure in the pipes.
8) I have a solar panel with a bypass valve. The clorinator only works when I run the water using the bypass valve so that no water runs through the solar panel. Try running all water only through clorinator with no other devices in line to slow the flow or produce any restrictions.
9) Try running the clorinator but take out the pump filter as an experiment. The filter may need replacing. Taking the filter out should tell you if this is the case if the clorinator works without the filter in place.
10) As a last resort check the flow rate requirements for the clorinator and on the pump you have. The pump may be undersized.

New pool and keep getting code 90. intex sent a replacement system and I'm still getting code 90

code 90 indicating low flow.

Do you have a good flow from inlet to outlet? You should be shooting a pretty good stream (wave form) across the pool. You can remove the filter from the pump and run it without to see if you eliminate the error. if that works you've got some gummy filters going on that require cleaning or replacing. (daily in my case) If the error persists check the flow sensor on the chorinator. Be sure the direction is correct, the water coming into the chlorinator follows the direction on the electrolytic plate box. (usually there is arrow on this. Other thing is, how loud is the system? Are you hearing lots of air entering the intake of the pump? This can lead to air lock on the pump and little to no flow in the system. If so, bleed the air of using the relief valves at the top of the filter and at the input of the filter. Also listen to ensure that the inlet at the pool is not allowing air to be sucked into the lines. This can be due to a loose connection or bad gasket at the inlet valve of the pool.

Sounds like it could be a mass airflow sensor failure. Take your car do your reputable mechanic and have them scan your computer to find out what the error code is, and then go from there. If it says that the mass airflow sensor is offline, I would look to make sure that the connector is properly secured on the air intake hose.

Just started our 8110 for year number 2. We are getting nothing but code 90. Tried cleaning, made sure all flow hoses were correct, check the hinge on the flow, all good. Still code 90! Went to buy a...

You problem is not the salt unit, your problem is PUMP related. You are getting good enough water flow. Check the pump as well as the filter. remove the filter cartridge and try the system without it. If the problem goes away then wash your filter and retest. If the problem comes back replace the filter cartridge. If the problem remains without the cartridge in place, you have a blockage in the plumbing which is preventing proper water flow.

We keep on getting code 90 on the salt water system

in side the hose attached to the system from the pool is a filter, we cleaned ours that fixed it right up. Did not know it was there.
The hose is the one going into the pump system at the base.

Computer codes

p1402 - dm-tl air pump motor is shorted or disconnected.

2000 model year accent is equipped with a new enhanced evaporative emission system. this new system is capable of measuring leaks as small as 0.020" diameter. the new system pressurizesthe evaporative emission system with a diagnostic module for tank leakage (dm-tl), while the previous model's system appliedengine vacuum through the purge valve to detect system leaks.

service information
vehicles that have the check engine light illuminated and have dtc p1401, p1402 and p1403 stored in the ecm should have their electrical systems diagnosed related to the appropriate dtc. these codes are not related in any way to an evaporative emission system leak. the conditions that set the diagnostic codes areas follows:
p1401 - dm-tl air pump motor current draw is higher or lower than expected (normal = 17-36 ma).
p1402 - dm-tl air pump motor is shorted or disconnected.
p1403 - dm-tl changeover valve is shorted or disconnected

perform the suggested repair
1. inspect for water in the dmtl by removing the 90° air inlet elbow and looking into the air chamber. if water or corrosion is present, replace the dm-tl p/n 31440-25500; air filterp/n 31453-25500; and pipe assembly p/n 31454-25500if corrosion is in the pipe. see detailed instructions on page3 for air filter replacement.
2. inspect for underbody coating sprayed into connector m52 at dm-tl. if underbody coating is present on the male or female connector, spray with electrical contact cleaner to remove the undercoating.

air filter (dm-tl) replacement instructions
  1. disconnect the 90° elbow from the top of the dmtl and insert a clean rag into either the elbow or thedmtl inlet connector.
  2. disconnect the dmtl electrical connector.
    1. disconnect the 2 hoses at the front of the canister (caution: silicone hoses tear/puncture easily).
    2. remove canister assembly and dm-tl as a unit (3 mounting nuts).
    3. disconnect the 2 hoses from the metal transfer pipes.
    4. remove the canister, air filter, and metal tube assembly from the canister protector by removing the 3 mounting nuts.
    5. disconnect the hose at the air filter.
    6. remove the air filter mounting nut and remove the air filter.
    7. install a new air filter.
    8. reassemble in reverse order.
