The fan vents on the computer are clogging up. Spray it out with some compressed air from Walmart (cheapest I've found). If that doesn't help, buy a small $7 fan from Walmart to cool off the "hotspot". Chances are that dust is clogging air flow so that the microprocessor fan can't keep up with the heat.

I have an System ERROR E001 following Error E808 on my canon 2016j copier and waht shal i do me out guys


E001 0000 Abnormally high temperature (detected by main thermistor)
The main thermistor detected an
abnormally high temperature (240 deg
C) during temperature control.
- Check the connector of the fixing film unit.
- Replace the fixing film unit.
- Replace the DC controller PCB.

E001 0001 Abnormally high temperature (detected by sub thermistor)
The sub thermistor detected an
abnormally high temperature (295 deg
C) during temperature control.
- Check the connector of the fixing film unit.
- Replace the fixing film unit.
- Replace the DC controller PCB.


E808 0000 Fixing drive circuit failure
- The heater does not turn on.
- A fixing drive motor failure was
detected.
