Copy all the files onto your 'C:' drive.
Spend $9 to buy a new 2GB USB memory-stick.
Copy the files to the new memory-stick.
Take a sledge-hammer to the old memory-stick -- to prevent anybody else from reading your files.
CHECK if it is not physically protected, a small button/switch might be on the stick! THEN, try any other flash drive or memmory stick to locate the target problem (memorry stick, or usb port mulfunction or even security/driver issue).
PLUS, there are some programes that might protect flash drives, check if u have any, and uninstall them, and make sure u have deleted ther HIDDEN system files located on the stick!
If no physical switch, then check the software that came with. Some sticks have a software component that recognizes when you plug the stick in and gives you options for viewing and launching applications from the stick. There may be controls you can use to change the write protect.
If not, or you can also try, opening a view to the stick from Windows Explorer and just delete files from there as you would from any drive. Windows will prompt you to confirm delete. I wouldn't delete any auto-load or setup apps that would be used to connect to another computer.
hi
Not only your pendirve your computer system is also affected by virus . please check your pendrive with any other computer .before you connected open your pendrive format your pendrive with any other computer. if it will not work you have go for any new pendirve. bye
My Jetflash also writeprotected, there's no any solution for this in internet but I could solve this problem,
what you can do is, make your write protected drive "shared", that means go to my computer---> then rigtclick on flash drive---> click sharing & security---> check both "share this folder on network" & "allow users to change my files" ,apply setting then you'll be able to format your drive.
I could do it,
let others to know about this solution. Because I also suffered from this problem.

If you have a USB memory stick that has a small slide switch on the side, this switch is a copy protection switch, move this switch to allow you to copy onto the USB memory stick.
As you said that there is no switch to lock and unlock usb stick so if this is the case than download the file below Use the Registry Hack to Disable Writing to USB
Drives Here is the link .just download the zip folder
and after opening the folder you will find a file just double click on it.. This will solve the write protect error definitely ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Low feed backs hurt my ratings and I tried my
