Question about Canon LaserClass 9000L Plain Paper Fax

We replaced the printer cartridge when it said "Replace" and even with the new one in place, it is saying replace cartridge.

Firstly check the "Chip" on the cartridge, and the corresponding connector on the printer, if possible clean it. While cleaning, Switch off the printer and unplug the power chord and the usb cable. Remove the fuser and leave it outside for few minutes. After you verify that everything is clean and no doubt with chip and the interfaces, re-connect or reinstall everything and Power on the printer while you press keep pressing (don't press and hold) the power button. Check whether this helps or not and please let me know. Good luck.

    Serial Number UZT 08837 - older model.

    On the side it is Canon H1229. I don't know how to identify this machine. There is not a power button, we just unplug it.

    Still same message about replacing printer cartridge and Error flashing Red.

    Ok, if you have problem identifying it, do like this, (i hope there's no problem with the drivers and the printer drivers is installed on your computer) Click "Start" -"Printer and Faxes" there you'll see the name of your printer like "canon laserjet..." Please send me the info. The one that you just mentioned doesn't exist. Without the model's name, it's hard to troubleshoot. I was thinking that your model name was Canon LaserClass 9000L since you post the query in this category. Anyway try it once again and do let me know.

    It is a stand alone fax machine so those are the only numbers that I have.

    I am sorry, now i am very confused, we were troubleshooting a canon laser printer and at last it's a Standalone Fax machine, I feel like laughing, but what can we do now. I was only trying to help you fix it. I can only suggest you to clean the Machine completely, whether paper tray or anything which can be cleaned inside or interfaces. Your last option is to call a technician to visit you or you take it to a repairing center, otherwise, it'd be difficult to do fix this. Even suppose if you get the information to short a chip or disconnect a part inside the machine, I don't recommend, you might cause another damage.....l_l
    I am sorry that i've taken your time without the solution. If you want to get assistance from another expert, you can still try, or you can post this question on our community page (Not premium) so that one of the non-premium experts may try it. Perhaps someone might have faced the same problem as yours.

HPpro L7600 works for about 6 pages then says replace black but black is new so reinsert and again works for about 6 pages then says replace magenta then repeats

try this. Clean the place were the ink goes into the printer. On the printer with running alchol and a qtip. Be real gental, and try and leave any residue or cotton on either place. Also, check and see if the cartridge reset itself. Sometimes you have to go into the program and reset it manualey. Sorry about the spelling errors, good luck and let me kknow if this helped!

My canon printer image class mpc190 keep flashing the alarm saying 'wrong cartridge' i have tried placing the cartridge in and out but no luck what should i do?

remove the printhead, cleaned it and put it back. Even after this if you get "Wrong cartridge". then replace the printhead with new one and the problem will be fixed

Refill cartrige and printer says replace cartrige

A lot of printer manufactures place a small chip on the ink cartridge. Combined with the printer software it knows you re-filled the cartridge. This forces you to buy new ink. A work around that works with some printers. Keep you're old ink cartridges. Replace with new and when it empties replace with you're re-filled ink cartridge. Store you're old re-filled cartridges in a dry cool place when not in use. With HP printers users keep three cartridges.

Did you replace the ink cartridge with a new one, or did you refill an old one.

Some printers have a memory and can tell which ink cartridge is in them. This prevents them from easily being fooled into printing with refilled cartridges.

Another option is that you changed the ink cartridge without following the specific guidelines for replacement e.g. To replace the ink cartridge, select replace ink cartridge from the main menu, then open the printer panel when the light flashes X number of times.

You might also try unplugging the printer for a couple of minutes the reset it.

Replaced black ink cartridge and printer keeps asking to replace

The message that persists in saying to "replace black cartridge" could be due to a defective cartridge chip. The chip maintains counts and tells the printer when a new cartridge is installed. If you cartridge is remanufactured, they may have neglected to install a new chip.

Regarding the new fuser not working, I'll have to get back to you on that.

Replaced black ink cartridge and it says its low

Some newer printers, such as Lexmark, will have a place in the properties app that allow you to "tell" the printer the cartridge is new. Check yours and see, it fixed mine.

Refilled ink cartridges

The reason why the printer says supply expired because the ink cartridge has its own warranty. When the warranty of the ink cartridge has expired then you will get that message. Eventhough you refill it. You need to replace the ink cartridge itself.
