Handle will not turn water off

single cartridge? pull old one, flush some water through empty valve then install new cartridge. once installed, make sure the horseshoe clip is properly inserted to keep the stem in. once the clip is in right, there is a chrome tube with a ridge that slides over the barrel and the clip. the ridge acts as the stop for the handle. also make sure there are stops inside back of handle to hit the ridge on the chrome tube. the plastic inside the handle may break off allowing the handle to spin. the stem unit/cart may also be installed 180 degrees out of place. pull the lock clip and use the remover tool that came with new cart to rotate it 180 degrees with water supply turned off.

Problem with hp deskjet 640c printer

i have an hp and find that they (color carts) cannot be refilled- the clever b*st*rds!! they stepped the ink reservoirs so, if you don't insert the re-fill needle 'just right', it bleeds into the others and you end up with a 'muddy' print-out! you need to buy a new hp cart, or shop around for a generic cart (cheaper) google your product & cart #. you may find a source for a cheaper cart.
the black carts. can be re-filled!
good luck!

Color printed copy appeared unbalance, one side is light.

Please do the following

1) Take the Ink cartridge out and shake it well.

2) Wipe the print head with a tissue to eliminate all dried ink particales.

Once dont please insert the cart ridge again and try printing

Noises when printing copies

Take the new cart. out and reinstall the old cart. Does the noise disappear? I would tap and shake the toner cart. BUT BE CAREFULL, the cart is ready to spill toner. On the box and in the instructions it tells you, or should, that you must shake and tap the outside of the cart. This is due to settling and the toner maybe packed. By tapping and shaking it will feel the toner. If the toner is packed it will put undue pressure on the augers inside the toner cart. and cause a grinding noise. If after tapping and shaking, reinstall the new cart. and check. If everything is ok -- great. If the noise remains contact the company your purchased the cart. from and ask for a replacement. These cart. are mass produced and mostly reused ( refurbed). Parts wear now and they do not replace the inside parts, they just repack with toner and seal.

Epson Stylus DX8400 empty ink cartridges but actually new

Sometimes there is a coating on the chips (even original epson ones!) - Old wives tales say dont touch the chips with your fingers - but take the carts out one by one and wipe your finger over the chips (1 finger for one chip - dont reuse the same finger on a different chip)

Reinstall them and that worked for me on a dx4500 with original epson carts in

I just changed my cartridges and now it won't print.

If the status monitor has red 'X' on the carts then take each out and wipe your finger over the chip, 1 finger for one chip - dont reuse the same finger. reinstall them and try again - if that dont work change them for new -

NO MATTER WHAT PEOPLE SAY ITS BOTH EPSON AND COMPATABLES THAT HAVE THIS PROBLEM

- had epson printers and used compatables for around 8yrs with no real problem (till now - see my post!)

one cartridge goes in at a time the color first
i found out there are new cartridges comen out what they call a change over to 300's i can remember them right off hand
but these 90's versions you might want to stock up cause these might disapear soon and seems though the 300 versions are haveing compatibility detection error problems

Brother MFC-215C

unplug machine from power. remove all carts. close cover. reconnect machine to power. wait until machine demands carts. reinsert cart as demanded by machine and secure them by pressing them into position and fixing the clip above the cart cover. give correct answer as display asks. Set date and time again.

btw: always print until printer stopps printing! Never change cart befor that
because printer logic will be fooled ;-)
