Cleaning web is a prediatecally replaceble part.,its a part of fuser assembly which cleans the fuser roller surface and applies lubricarion to avoid ghost image, toner stains, paper jams. Its look like a paper roller very near to fuser roller depends on model.
This model has an upper fusing roller & a lower pressure roller.
If you have a print quality issue (that you have narrowed down to the fuser unit) then you will need to replace the upper fusing roller (not an easy job best to replace the fuser unit complete)
Maybe you have problems with the upper fuser roller, open the back door and try to see the upper fuser roller and lower pressure roller if you see any wrinkles or damage in any of the rollers that's is the problem, you can replace them just the upper fuser roller and the lower pressure roller but it will need advanced skills, the other option is change all fuser assembly but at higher price
The error code means that fuser cleaning web is about to run out or has run out. The fuser cleaning web cleans off the upper fuser roller (the hot one) and it also lubractes the roller. Most of the time when it runs out it starts to ruin the upper fuser roller. The best thing to do is to have the web replaced and the counter rest. If you just rest the counter, you may end up causing my damage to the fuser unit. Good Luck
A E005 error code means the fuser cleaning web needs to be replaced. It cleans & lubricates the upper fuser unit. It is the white web that rest above the upper fusing roller. There is also a web counter in service mode that will need to be reset as well. You can just rest the counter, but if the web runs out > the upper fixing roller will be damaged. Good Luck
Hello, The fuser or fuser roller is what actually bonds or melt the toner on to your paper. There is probably some type of temperature sensor, that senses the temperature of the fuser. If its not hot enough or just plain dead, it will give out an alarm similar to what your getting. You probably need to replace the fuser unit. You have a lower fuser and an upper fuser. You might be able to get away with just replacing the upper roller. The roller has a heating element inside and that's what probably defective. Hope this Helps Thank You for your feedback
it sounds to me like you have some severe fuser thermistor and thermal fuse problems ...i would look into getting an entire fuser assembly sharp part number
DUNTW7305DS** last digits depend on your location and power supply
I am not sure what the black legs do but they problably support the heater lamps....if there is a wire going to the legs then the black legs need to be removed. the key is to d isassemble any drive chains, brackets etc that support the fuser rollers the black legs could also be support for stripper fingers
just dissasemble all components holdng the fuser roller from both sides
