Question about Riso RZ220 Duplicator

2 Answers

Movement I notice you seem to have some experience on the Riso (Gr3770). Do you have a solution for this problem. I am sure you have heard of this problem many time if you have worked with the RISO in the past. Anyway, here goes. How can I keep my riso from moving all over the place when it prints? No 2 pages seem to come out in the same position. Each sheet can move up to 1/4 inch, forward or backward. I have cleaned the clutch and all the feed tires. I am semi-handi when it comes to repair, I just need a little direction.

I have replaced the clutch already, once in the past.

Its the much bigger and stronger clutch than what came out of the GR originally. I did work for several months. And I have cleaned and scrubbed the rollers many, many time. That just does not seem to work. Thanks for trying.

This is normally down to the 'double feed prevention' - the screws by the feed tyres adjust the angle.
In theory it shouldn't make any difference, down to the timing being adjust by the mylar afterwards, but in practice it makes a huge difference,

Hope this helps

Riso's are famous for this, i will scrub the rubber timing roll with rubber rejuvenator and clean the steel roll with alcohol.

the riso paper feed clutches are weak compared to what they were in the GR series you may have to replace the clutch.

Bud, after doing some research you need to clean the oneway bearings on the pickup and feed rolls, adjust feed table hieght and lastly check/adjust timing in drive and feed roller-you will need a manual for this.

How do remove jammed master from the disposal unit on a risograph GR3770?

This model is pretty obsolete, finding someone to service it will be difficult, and most will only promise to attempt it and not warranty the work, never the less, its what I recommend. If you must attempt it yourself, I recommend a set of picks from Menard's (around $5 for a set, they look like dental picks) and an exacto knife and then cut the master free in small pieces.

most riso techs who are trained on these will do a partial disassemble. If this were an RZ or an EZ I'd be willing to try talking you through that. I don't recommend it if you're a novice on these though. They're much crankier.

How do i remove jammed master in disposal unit in a riso gr3770?

On the back there is a box where the masters are used, remove and check for any play between the master and the shipping box. Open trough the green lever the lid covering the box used masters and check the part that carries the master used for the box, if there pieces or entire master mired in this piece. Let her go trough the alavacas extremities. Make sure the drum is with the clamp without damage, because it holds and releases the master of the carregamanto and unloading of master. Remember these tips without seeing the machine and if you have knowledge of the equipment inside are a little difficult, but be able to get there. I hope I helped you.

If it is a spring cluths assembly simply remove it and clean the spring and the assembly with rubbing alcohol..then apply a drop of 3-1 oil on the spring and reassembly.......give that a try

UNABLE TO INSTALL PRINT DRUM

If the drum is out.. just reach in with a pair of pliers.. (Pliers Closed).. and turn the cam that turns the drum until it lines up...Pay close attention to the coupler.. they only go one way. Turn the machine until it lines up. I don't know why they do that ..but sometimes they do..

Paper tray will not lift on a GR3770

either the motor is not turning to lift it up or the gear is broken, do you hear the motor turning when the tray is pushed in? take the tray out and look in the back to see if there is anything blocking it also.
