I have a Frigidaire side by side fridge. The freezer is dripping water on the inside. I find water pooled into ice on the inside bottom. If this is full, it runs out onto the floor. Help! Lowe's and Home Depot were no help and the frigidaire.com site useless.

take rear panel off inside freezer and you will see a drain tray at the bottom with a drain hole in the middle. this is blocked with ice. melt off with a hairdryer and follow up with hot water till water flows away freely

sounds like a drain clog in the freezer compartment above. remove the freezer rear panel and totally defrost the evaporator area, directly under the evap you see( under all taht ice) a small drain hole that has become frozen over, try defrosting with either a hair dryer( not a heat gun too much heat youl melt everything) or by pouring hot water donw the drain until you get a free flow of water down the tube. after its clear reassemble and you should be fine

The problem was indeed a clogged frost water drain. I had to pull the frig out from the wall (found an incredible amount of dust accummulation in the alcove), then remove the vertical metal and horizontal cardboard covers to expose the drain catchpan. The 1/2" rubber drain hose end was only about 1/8" above the pan pointing directly into it perpendicularly. This was not enough clearance. There was a plug (formed by dust and water) in the end of the hose that came out easily when I 'roto-rooted' it with a screwdriver. The water flowed easily after that, but I went ahead and trimmed about 3/8" off the end of the hose and pushed it back into its slot. Then I cleaned as much as I could. The prevention is to keep the area behind the frig cleaned!

your defrost drain is plugged remove the back panel in side the freezer at the bottom you will see a metal pan with a hole in it clean around the whole and flush it with hot water a turkey baster works great for forcing hot water thru the drain and clearing what ever is plugging it

looks like your pretty handy . so what you need to do is run the drain with a cable and clean it out . it will have a build up of slime init causing the water not to drain . very common problem . i use a speed ometer cable to do this .. . the water has to go some where during defrost . so if not down the drain then in to fresh food area .. . hope this helps ..
