Since your JVC worked and just the faceplate of your system that did not work, there might be a issue with comes to faceplate.

The faceplate itself might be old , meaning JVC receiver works but the faceplate is not compatible to it. I suggest to check the faceplate manual and how long you have been usen the faceplate. If in case this is brand new, you could replace the entire face-plate and cover it in grill cloth (if the original stuff would come off you could use that or buy new cloth).

If that did not work, then you can check your face plate manufacturer and ask what will be the compatible face plate for your JVC receiver...

the receiver and faceplate are barely a month old. i think that the faceplate is totally for the actual deck because that is how it came in the box brand new from the store a month ago. is it possible that the faceplate is just faulty from the factory? if so i would think that the store would replace it or jvc themselves.

I have same problem in a way. I get power to the headunit, but none of my buttons work, so its stuck playing a cd, and only way to turn it off is to remove the faceplate. Any ideas?

When playing from the AUX (i.e. iphone), can't hear from both speakers, only one; but when playing from a CD, the sound is fine. Any suggestions/advice/help? The odd thing is that if I press down

hi, seems like you may have a faulty aux jack socket(if the socket is mounted onto the face) or you may have some dry joints on the socket, or even a cracked pc board around the aux socket connections. also try cleaning the face connection pins both on the unit and on the face. if you not technically minded, check out you jvc repair center. cheers!

How do i reset the cd player back to factory defauly.

The reset switch is usually behind the faceplate (there should be a tiny hole).

Using a paperclip (or fine tip pen), gently press and hold this switch in, for approx. 3 seconds.

My jvc kd-r418 is protect

that happened to me too once, in my case it turns that one of my speaker wires came loose from back of speaker and was touching the metal in my truck. after correcting the wires it still said protect, i then found the reset button located under faceplate and held it down for a few seconds and my receiver was back in business.

How do I set the color on my JVC KD-R310 ? I already lived through the 1970s. I don't need the disco lights effect in my car.

push the color button when the display light's up you can choose between one color for the button or one color for the display by turning the volume button and choose which color fit's your liking when u find your color push the volum button. that should help you out on that part.

What are good settings to have to make the music sound clear for a jvc KD-R310 deck?

you will need to access the bass and treble setting on the unit.
If you have stnadard speaker then dont put the bass to high as you can not turn the volume up high.
The same for the treble.
Set them at about the same and turn the volume up until it sounds good.
If it is to quiet then turn the treble and bass down and then the volume up more

JVC KD-R610 is stuck in Protect mode

Try disconnecting your battery, reconnecting it, and resetting your stereo. If that doesn't work, the constant power (yellow wire) or ignition wire (red wire) may have come in contact with ground or isn't properly connected. Make sure everything is connected properly and try resetting your stereo. If it is still flashing "protect", the unit needs servicing Contact JVC Customer Care Center at: 800-252-5722.
