After an electrical storm the vcr combo do not come on

johngreen,

Unfortunately this is a worst case scenario. Electrical storms with electrical surges can wreak havoc on all electrical devices if they are not protected with a surge protector. The bad thing is it will cost to more money to have the board replaced as opposed to buying another unit. In the future it is best to invest in a surge protector and protect all your electronic devices. Thanks for visiting FixYa.com.

Sincerely,

Just got a maytag bravo electric dryer, had a storm electricity went out and now the dryer won't work. It has a code of F73

An electrical storm can cause high surge voltages which can cause damage to sensitive components.
You wll have to check the manual to decode the F73 error message.
I presme you've unplugged the device, waited (say) a minute or two, and then plugged it in again ? Doing so will reset most of the electronics (assuming no damage) and has been known to solve some odd symptoms.

The heat is not a factor.Make sure you do not have a tripped breaker. Otherwis if you had a power surge to the dryer, ther could be electrical damage.

Dryer only blowing cold air

First reset circuit breaker since it's 220 set set up is possible to have tripped one of the breakers not likely but possible. Next if that does not do it you need to buy an ohm meter and open the port to get to the heating coil so you can test the heater wire putting it on ohms and with it unplugged put the ohm meter leads on the two terminals and see if you get a reading, if the needle moves it's something else if it don't it's the heating coil, plus there is other things to but that wheeI'd start. but if your squeamish with 220 then call a appliance man, anyone worth his SALT Will have it fixed by the time you went to the store and bought the meter took it apart and replaced it.

Danby Dryer too hot

First of all, check to see if you have a hose going outside that is fully clear of lint from beginning to end. then check to see if your heat is staying the same on a empty load run machine empty, then turn your thermostat to cool after it heats up and see if the temp went down to see if working properly.

Kenmore dryer trips the breaker

THE PROBLEM COULD BE THE CONNECTION TO THE BREAKER ITSELF , BREAKERS ARE SET UP FOR CURRENT OR AMPERAGE SURGE AS WELL AS THERMAL IF THE WIRE CONNECTING TO THE BREAKER IS LOOSE IT WILL HEAT UNDER LOAD AND CAUSE THE PROBLEM YOU DESCRIBE , TURN OFF THE BREAKER AND RE TIGHTEN THE SCREWS AND IF THE TERMINALS ARE DETERATED MIGHT NEED TO REPLACE THE BREAKER IF POSSIBLE CUT THE DAMAGED PORTION OF THE WIRE CONNECTING TO THE BREAKER STRIP THE END AND RECONNECT
