Question about Dell Dimension 2400 PC Desktop
It is most likely a piece of software or your hard drive that is causing the issue. Any easy way to tell would be to go into "safe mode" and see if you still have the same issue: reboot the PC and when it starts/beeps start pushing/tapping F8 until you get a menu with an option for safe mode. Once that comes up see if you can get it to freeze again. If it does not freeze the likely culprit is a piece of software, if still freezes the likely cause is hardware related and I would look at either a good hard drive utility to try and repair the issue or simply replacing your hard drive.
