Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
Please do make sure that the charger and charging IC (Charging Unit Installed inside the Mobile Phone) is intact and working properly. Also do make sure that the Charging pin is not loose and is properly making connections with the mobile socket.... Try installing a charged battery in the mobile set and then try to turn On. If the set still didn't power up, then there are chances that the software of the mobile is mal functioning and needs to be flashed.....
Hope this will clear the situation,

Best of Luck,

Please do RATE my solution, If found helpful.

Motorola models can be flashed using flash & backup 3 (3.0.7 full version), but do this at your own risk. Since it might brick ( Turn Dead) the set. Now its upto you, it you got that much expertise then go for the flash (DIY), otherwise you can have it done from any professional in very less amount.

The S107 helicopter charged up successfullyfirst time using an Apple USB mains adaptor. I then tried charging it up from a computer USB and it would only partially charge with the machine turned on and the...

Is helicopter off when charging? Will not charge when powered on.
Light on charger should go off when plugged into helicopter.
Also, are you running battery dead? This will destroy a Li/Po battery. Never fully drain battery. Run only until you cannot maintain altitude. Land and power off. Cool for 10 minutes. Charge. Cool for 10 minutes. Skipping either "cool-downs" will also destroy your battery, albeit slower than the full discharge which can sometimes kill a Li/Po battery in only 1 or 2 cycles especially when they are new. Have any friends with a cell phone or laptop (Li/Po batteries also) that they hate because "it's always dying" or "the battery only lasts like 4 hours" whether or not they know why, it is ALWAYS because they rarely charge them fully, especially for the first few charges which are crucial, and the often run the things dead until they won't even turn on.
Back on topic, I use and recommend the usb power adapter. When plugged in using the USB wall adapter, does the charging light still stay on? Certainly if "yes", and still likely if "no" sadly, this to me sounds like a fried battery, which, if it, as I suspect, was caused by frequent or early full discharges and/or hot charging/flying... then you're screwed. The batteries are cheap but quite tricky to replace. Need a steady hand and a needle tipped soldering iron and solder barely thicker than hair.

Hope I've helped,
PvT

Tmobile dash isn't turning on

  1. Verify that the OEM Charger and Battery are being used.
    • Only the AC charger, Car charger, or USB data cable that came with or was created for the device should be used; others can damage the device and/or battery.
  2. Is the device warm?
    • When using the device for prolonged periods of time, such as when you're talking on the phone, charging the battery or browsing the web, the device may become warm. In most cases, this condition is normal and therefore should not be interpreted as a problem with the device. The device has a protection feature that if the device becomes too warm (due to use of GPS while charging, BT while charging, using the device as a wireless modem, etc), the auto protection feature will be triggered and the charging process will be stopped. Once the device cools down, the device will then begin charging again.
  3. Check the USB Port on the device for any bent or misshapen PIN's.
    • If some are found, that is the most likely cause and this is considered physical damage not covered under the Warranty.
  4. Remove the battery and inspect the contacts.
    • Remove any debris/residue found on the device or battery contacts with a soft, dry cloth.
  5. Look closely at the battery contacts on the phone to see if they are bent out of shape.
    • If they are bent, the device will need to be exchanged.
  6. Try charging the device (try different power sources as well as chargers):
    • Plug in USB to device and PC; is the LED indicating that the device is charging?
      • Note: If the device isn't charging while connected via USB to a PC, go to Start>Settings>More>Power>Power Management and make sure that "When device is turned on, do not charge the device when connected to the PC" is set to OFF.
    • Plug in AC Charger to device and outlet; is the LED indicating that the device is charging?
      • LED indicators: Charging is indicated by a solid Amber light on the upper Left side of the face of the device.
        • Note: If the battery is completely dead, the light will be a solid RED for a few seconds while it is charging; once the device has enough power to turn on, the light will turn to Amber.
  7. Try another Power Source.
    • Try a different outlet to rule out that as the issue.
  8. Try another battery in the device.
    • If another battery doesn't work, perform a Hard Reset.
      • If the device powers up after Hard Reset, test the unit for a few days. If issue returns, device can be considered for an exchange.
      • If device shows charging with one (AC Charger or USB) and not the other, issue is with the accessory. Replace accessory.
      • If device will only power up when attached to charger (AC or USB) it is likely the battery needs to be replaced.
Device won't hold a Charge
The life of the battery between charging sessions will vary depending on which features of the unit are being used.
  1. Verify the you are using:
    • OEM AC Charger
    • OEM USB Data Cable
    • OEM Battery
  2. Fully charge the battery using the OEM AC Charger
    • USB and car chargers are trickle chargers meant to get the user through until they can get to their AC Charger.
  3. If the device is not lasting the advertised Talk time, with minimal use, try another OEM battery in the device.
  4. If the battery life still is not meeting the advertised Talk time (with minimal use), the device will need to be repair/replacement.
Device won't Power on
  1. Attempt to charge the device.
    • If the battery is dead, the device will need to charge for a few minutes and then should power on once this happens.
  2. Attempt to power the device on by pressing the Power Button for 3-5 seconds.
    • If the device doesn't power in, perform a Soft Reset using the stylus.
  3. If the device still doesn't power on, perform a Hard Reset.
  4. Try another battery.
  5. If the device still will not power on, it can then be considered for repair/replacement.
Handset Powers off

  1. Make sure that the device is actually powering off and not just going into hibernate mode by pressing the power button once.
    • If the screen comes back on, the device is not powering down.
  2. If possible, check the battery level by going to Start>Settings>More>Power>Power Management.
    • The charge should be no lower than 10%; if it is, charge the device and retest.
  3. Try another battery in the device.
    • If the device stays powered on with a different battery, the issue is with the accessory not the unit.
  4. If the device still powers off with another battery, Hard Reset the device and retest.
    • If the issue remains after the Hard Reset, the device it can then be considered for repair/replacement.

Battery fully charged but phone dies within a minute

A friend that worked for GTE advised me some yrs ago to do this and I have NOT had a problem with another battery since
when you get any new Battery charge it plugged in to the ac AND phone jack for a minimum of 24 hrs without using it.
all batteries have some memory and deminish power over time but if it was NOT fully charged to begin with as a yr goes by so does the battery life. hope this works,

Make sure you have an original OEM charger for the MDA. Many of the knock off chargers don't provide the right amperage for the device. What happens is that since the phone is completely dead, it can't regulate how many amps the battery should get during the charge and an incorrect charge current won't charge the battery. I'm guessing that someone sold you a Motorola RAZR charger or another knockoff made for the RAZR. This might charge your phone when the battery is working, but not when it's DEAD. Also you won't have luck plugging it into a computer USB cable because, again, the phone can't tell the computer what charge to send and most computers only produce <0.5 amps in the USB port.

Get a charger that states it is an OEM (original eqipment manufacturer) device or one that is specifically designed for the MDA (or Cingular 8125). eBay is full of them.

Bad charger (probably won't work for a dead battery)

Good Charger (correct amperage and designated for the MDA)

you simply fried your battery by overcharging it. Just get a new one, let it fully charge and fully die twice before you start normal charging. Then you will want to only charge it for about 2 to 3 hours or find a charger that has a smart chip that tells it when to stop charging once the battery is full.

Audiovox SMT 5600 will not charge

If your battery goes COMPLETELY dead, which it will do if phone is not turned OFF and not used for a long period of time, you will need to JUMP START it using you OEM SMT-5600 AC charger. Other AC chargers will not work for this purpose and neither will a USB port.

You can JUMP START the battery using a USB port by cutting off a USB cable to expost the red and black power USB PORT power pins 1 and 4. Remove your SMT-5600 battery and while the modified USB cable is plugged into your USB PORT, hold the BLACK wire to the negative (-) terminal and the RED wire to the positive (+) terminal for about a minute. Replace the battery in the phone and connect the phone to a USB PORT using a standard USB cable. The SMT-5600 charging light may not register for a while, but will eventually light amber to show it is charging, assuming your phone is recoginzed by your computer.

Note some mini USB cables DONOT carry the USB power leads through to the phone, only data. If you have a very thin USB cable, be suspicious the power leads are not being carried in the cable.

Since the USB PORT power is limited to 100ma it cannot hurt the battery, but will insert enough current into a totally flat batter to cause the battery to register a voltage large enough to alllow USB PORT charging, typically 3.7VDC.
