Photos taken outside are all white

All photos taken outside are completly white. Can't find any details/answers in manual. Help. Do I need to change anything in the settings?

Please try to put camera on AUTO in the settings and then see the results. It should give you the desired results.

Unless you want to colorize them by hand, there's no way to add color to black and white photos. Given a black and white photo showing a person in a gray dress, how do you know whether the dress was blue or red or some other color?

Overexposed photos


Alter the ISO rating to 100
Also go to menu and make sure you have the white balance set to auto or outside rather than night or whatever it is set at.

i am an train picture guy but neverthe less u cant take anything for granted put cam on "P" and see whad happens and check your manual

Photos taken outside are too bright


turn down your exposure.
or your cam may be set to night mode
so it lets more light in.
Take it off and it should be alright

If your indoor photos appear ok then most likely your camera is set on a specific setting. Switch it to auto for convenience. Or read your manual, there are a lot of things you can learn from the manual. Look under the different types of scenarios, night scene, macro, daylight, etc.
