Of which company soundcard do you have? Just go that website and download it from there. Also you can go to your pc website to check for drivers

My soundcard isnt working on my computer is there a way i can fix it?

Hi,you can try this uninstall the sound card driver, then reboot your computer. When you reboot the computer the operating system will automatically reinstall the sound card driver.
This is how to uninstall the driver in windows 7,you didn't say what operating systyem you have so I'm hoping this helps.
Click start and open Control Panel by default the window will open in Category view (top right) click the arrow and slect Large icons.Once that is done look on that page for Device Manager and left click.
A new window will open called Device Manager, look for Sound,Video and game controlers and left click the arrow,You will see the installed Audio devices, right clicking the listed installed components will give the option to update or uninstall. After you finish uninstalling the driver or drivers reboot your computer windows will auto reinstall any needed drivers.I hope this has helped good luck.

Sound not detected

Sound Card Detection issues can be a few things, i too have had this issue and is usually affected by one of two things you have a faulty soundcard and need to have it replaced or reinstall/update sound card driver
Go to Start Menu > Control Pannel > Device manager > Sound,Video and Game Controllers from the drop down box find your sound card and right click and select update driver software
if that does not work follow the above process again and select uninstall let your computer restart and it should re-detect your sound card if you have the drivers on disk reinstall them from the disk or go to the manufactures website they should have updated driver software
if you have a orange triangle that has a ! in it you probably have no software installed

I can't find a soundmax Integrated Audio driver for Win7 Ultimate OS. I would like to have one before I upgrade my Win XP to Win7 since it was the recommendation of Win7 compatibility Advisor. Thanks...

First, shame on Microsoft! Second, many are having the same issue you are now experiencing. What has worked is installing the Vista driver package.

Click on the link below and download the file.
Go to device manager and uninstall the current driver for Soundmax Intergrated Audio soundcard.
Double click on the downloaded program to install your soundcard driver.
If the program has issues installing the driver (due to incompatibility with Windows 7) go back to the device manager and right-click on the Soundmax Integrated Audio soudcard
Select Update driver
When searching for the updated driver, direct the search (or select manual search) to the folder the file created when you double clicked on it (swsetup>Sp36530>i386>Vista)
This should enable your soundcard.

Best of luck!

How Do I repair My sound I went to device manager to try and update the driver it did not work

instead of updating it try to uninstall it in Device Manager the let the OS reinstall it. If your not sure how to reinstall just reboot your PC and it should reinstall on its own. Also if you see the brand of the card you can go to the web site and download and install the drivers from there.

No sound card detected even though I can hear CDs from PC

first check that you are having no problems with your soundcard, go to control panel>system>hardware>device manager and see if there is a yellow exclamtion mark next to the soundcard.. If there is then try updating the drivers for it, or uninstalling it by right clicking it and choose uninstall then reboot the computer, the soundcard will be picked up as new hardware and should be installed again. Before you do this though you need to be sure that you have a pci soundcard actually installed and not an onboard chipset soundcard. If you have an onboard soundcard then it may not be good enough for games to be played. A lot of games require a minimum type of soundcard. Check to see what you have. Go to control panel as explained and write down the model number of your soundcard. Then check the minimum requirements for the game you are trying to play.

Acer aspire 5610-2762 ( or 5610z ) Has all the drivers says the audio is working but its not

Often sound devices are linked to the modem, with almost everyone using dsl these days they sometimes don't notice the modem hasn't installed correctly.
Go to Device Manager and update or uninstall your modem. If you uninstall the modem just do a restart and Windows will "detect new hardware" just let it reinstall the modem.
Hopefully after installing the modem Windows will suddenly find more new hardware and suddenly want to install a "media deivce" that is your soundcard, I have seen this many times back in the day of the dialup modem.
