Turn it on, allow it to home, mark the printwheel with some white out.
Turn it off and on a few times if the mark dosen't always return to the same place the homing pawl is broken, you need a tech.

Manual feed won't grab paper

If the printer works good when it prints the envelopes/label one by one, I think it works normal (because the paper is not a standard paper).

Own three CP3525dn's (purchased new). Two have recently begun jamming [fuser wrap] when printing labels. If it doesn't jam then the paper usually "dog ears" coming out. New fuser did not...

Over time, printing labels builds up a light residue of the adhesive (due to heat pressing) used on the labels in the paper path. A thorough cleaning of all paper path parts with alcohol prep pads, or Glass Plus and quality paper towels, will reduce this gum build up.

You should regularly print standard paper jobs on a laser printer that will be printing labels. Rule of thumb is 4:1 - four sheets of regular paper print for each sheet of labels printed. This helps keep the adhesive cleaned out of the paper path.

Patience and a lot of scrubbing should do the trick, though you may have to install a printer maintenance kit early given the issues noted. Printing labels cuts maintenance kit duration in half, at a minimum.

How do I get my hp deskjet 6940 to print labels. I'm trying to print Avery 5498 labels

You will have to use software to make the labels...like Microsoft Office Word, Open office Writer, or Microsoft Works. In MS Office Word (2003) go to tools->letters and mailings -> envelope and lables. Create the label you need.

If you use open office, go to File->New->Labels and create the label you need.

After which, you put the paper in the printer and print them out. May want to check out the size so you make sure it prints correctly.

-best of luck

The letters are not all printing on my label. It prints only parts of letter(s) and number(s) sometimes not at all . we just moved offices and I can't find the manual. I thought maybe it was the imprssion...

Some labels are very glossy and correctable ribbons don't stick well,
Try moving the impression to the hardest setting and setting it to bold print or get a lable with a matt finish.

When trying to print Avery Labels L7160 the top few labels print within each label 'frame' BUT towards the end of the page the labels are printed further up and therefore are out of the label 'frames' ALSO...

For Word 2007/Word 2010
1- Click on the Office button
2- Select Print then Print again.
3- In the Zoom section make sure 'Scale to paper size' is set to 'A4'
4- Click on the Properties button.
5- Click on the Paper / Quality tab, then click on Advanced.
6- In the Paper/ Output section it has Paper size. To the right you have a drop down menu . Make sure A4 is selected and not letter, then click on OK.

3- There may also be other options in your printing preferences such as 'Print Area', 'Scale to Fit Page Size' or 'Page Margins. These will all need to be set correctly for your design to print 100% e.g. Print Area set to Maximum, Scale to fit Page Size disabled and Page Margins set to Minimized.

Some printers ( for example Epson printers ) have a 'Reduce /Enlarge' facility that defaults to 94% or 97% (instead of 100%). To set this to 100% click the 'Layout' tab and in the 'Reduce/Enlarge' section select 'Custom' you should then be able to change the scaling to 100%.

Prints larger that print preview shows...

Firstly make sure your using the correct drive ZM400 rather than Z4M. if you are using the applications driver make sure of headers and footers sizes and the print area is set correctly. If your using odd sized lables download some new drivers from the Nice Label website, they are far more adjustable that the standard Zebra drivers.

Label stuck on a roller?

Looks like label stuck on the toner cartridge. Easiest solution would be to replace toner cartridge or if you can slowly spin the OPC drum on toner cartridge till you find label NOTE: damage to the OPC drum with affect print quality as well as oil from fingers will affect PQ( print quality)

Easy peel Labels stuck to rollers cant print

On which roller are these labels stuck? On the drum roller? or at the back in the fuser.

If it is the drum you can always try with a soft cloth and some denatured alcohol.
Soak the label first with alcohol to loosen the glue, then remove the label and take a new
clean cloth to remove the glue with alcohol. Notice that the drum is light sensitive, don't expose it to bright light for too long.

If it is in the fuser you'll have a bigger problem. You'll have to remove the fuser first to access the rollers (caution, let it cool down first, fusers get really hot)

You need to remove the duplex unit (if available) or duplex cover and the 2 small side covers.
In the left and right you will notice 2 screws that tighten the fuser. Remove these screws as well as the dataconnector on the right and the fuser lamp power supply to the left.
Now you can easily slide the fuser out.

The tricky part is to open the fuser up to access both heat- and pressure-roller to clean them in the same way you should clean the drum unit. Normally you can open the top cap of the fuser loosening 2 screws don't know exactly which ones

When this is done you can reassemble the printer and all should work fine.

If you intend to open up the fuser, let me know, i'll get you the detailed information for that.

Notice:
when you use lables that are suitable for laserprinters always use the manual front feed and open the rear cover, that way the paper does not get folded, it just runs flat right through the printer.

Labels jamming

Check the entire paper processing path as it sound like either the roller gear is not engaging properly to push the paper out of the top, or the output paper path is somehow blocked, like from a label or something else stuck at the top, the roller gear is damaged, or other obstruction.
