No water from spray on base

I had same problem. Remove all fluid from machine, I used a wet dry vac. As someone else said unscrew the 2 screws that hold the filter basket. Take out the filter basket and clean thoroughly. Find plastic hose that is now visible under basket and pull up and remove that (noticing where the slot is to put it back when finished) and pull the screen off top of hose and clean that as well. I then vacuumed out that hose with my wet dry vac. Reassembled everything and now works perfectly.

How can i remove the dust from vacum hose?

If you can take it apart and remove the hose then I would flush it with a hose with a nozzle. I would also spray the inside of the hose with an all purpose spray.

How can we avoid the odor that we usually have with other vac exhausts? will cleaning the filters as suggested really keep that from happening?

Bagless vacuums have a real problem with bacterial growth. That is what produces the odor you are smelling. Wash the cup in an enzyme and the filters too if they are the washable type. Make sure everything is dry before you reassemble the vac. Then turn on the vac and pull the hose out like you would be using the tools. Holding the hose end that has the suction, spray a small burst of Lysol Spray into the hose opening so the vacuum "sucks" the Lysol through it's interior. This will kill the bacteria in the hose and the plastic housing of your vacuum. Usually 3 bursts works fine. If you spray too much and get your machine "wet" with the lysol you could damage your motor so small bursts are better than a long spraying action

Can't get water to spray out of the hand tool nozzle

When you attach the main suction hose to the front of the machine, you also have to connect the soultion hose to a valve located on the side of the machine. When the machine is running, take a small screwdriver and depress the centre of this valve. You should get a spray of water out of the valve which will confirm the valve and pump is working. Now, connect the small solution hose, making sure you push it on all the way. When you pull the trigger on the handle of the hose, you should get spray. If it does not, you may have a plugged nozzle sprayer.
