It is coming out of the evaporator and probably your drain line is clogged I use a small wire brush to clean them out.

How to drain water from haier 8000bt portable ac

There is a drain plug on the rear of the unit, just above floor level. Before draining into a low sided pan of bowl, capable of holding 1 quart of water, turn the unit OFF & unplug it.

Another draining option is to disconnect the exhaust hose(s) and roll the unit to a floor drain or outside to drain it.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Hi, I have a Haier HD306 Dehumidifier. I'm having an issue of the water dripping onto the floor. There is no crack or leak coming from the bucket itself. The leak seems to be coming from the back...

When my unit did that, I found that it was because the drain tube was plugged with lint and/or dirt...
Run a large tooth pick or wire up inside the drain and see if the water doesn't start running right out of there...

Hi, I just purchased this used. It was working fine for one day, but now it won't turn on. Can u help? Haier CPN12XH9 12000 BTU Portable Air

If the water collection tank is full, it will not turn ON. Since you said the unit worked fine for one day and now it won't turn ON, more than likely, that's the problem. After draining the tank, the unit should reset itself and turn ON like it should.

The drain plug is on the rear of the unit, just above floor level. You can either drain it into a low sided pan or bowl that's capable of holding up yo a quart of water. O r roll the unit to a floor drain or outside to drain it. If you choose to drain it into a pan, turn the unit OFF & unplug it, before draining it.

I hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa

Window air conditioner is spitting water

Hello, usually a window AC will spit water if the unit is not tilted back or if the drain is backed up, if the unit is level try tilting it back it the window somewhat. Also, if the unit does have a drain make sure it is not blocked.

All A/C units will produce condensation from time to time, depending on relative humidity. Your problem seems to be an accumulation of this condensation which has no way to escape the unit. Most likely the drain port is clogged with debris. Clean the debris and the unit should drain normally.

Haier Air Conditioners do not have a drain hole or hose like most A/Cs. This problem can easily be solved by carefully drililng about an 1/8 or 1/4 inch hole in the bottom outside edge directly on the metal frame, around the cooling fins.... This will elt the water drain out...if you when outside and looked in while it was spitting you would see the water pooling up in there. Haier expects us to mount these units at an ungodly angle to drain the water, but drilling a small hole will help (really anywhere in that bottom plate would work since the whole bottom is a "drain pan"

Water blows out of vent and collects at the bottom of the air conditioner, it does not seem to drain properly and I do have it slanted back to drain outside.

I bought this lovely piece of sh*t for $200 dollars and it has done well over $200 worth of damage to the wood around the window and to the wall. We have to tip it backwards about twice a day to drain the water and it still drips out the front like crazy. I was unable to contact Haier at first and recieved automated responses on the phone and wasnt able to talk to an actual person. I gave up on that and lived with it for a few weeks and I finally got sick of it and spent about 45 minutes online looking for the phone number to contact them (I also found tons of complaints about this problem). So I decided I dont want this junk in my window and told Haier that on the phone. They told me to try to return it to the store I bought it at and if they wont take it back to call them again and they will have me cut the power cord and peel the stickers off and send that to them and they will send a replacement. THANKFULLY those idiots at Haier were dumb enough to put a decent warrenty on their faulty products. But I'm guessing those idiots are also dumb enough to send faulty products out as replacements too.
