Why is there a burn hole inside the oven, on the cardboard?

That's actually a mica "window" (cover) for the microwaves to come out. And it sounds like the magnetron started arcing and burned a hole in that cover. Either that, or some food (frequently spaghetti sause) got splattered on it, and the microwaves heated it up so much that it burned a hole in the cover. Does the microwave oven still work (heat)? Do you see or hear any arcing? If the microwave oven still works and there is no arcing, you can just replace that cover. Check SearsPartsDirect.com or RepairClinic.com.

My heat coils stay on when the dryer, only turn off if dial is on off position

A contact in your control switch has failed. Your fix is to order a new one at your local appliance
parts store (or online), and replace. In olden days, these switched were open, and burned contacts
could be "shined" with fine-grit sandpaper, but since appliance manufacturers discovered that old
arcing switch contacts could start fires (due to lint infiltration over time), the switches are now enclosed in sheet metal and must be replaced as a unit.

See if the compressor is hot to the touch. Check if the fan is blowing by that compressor. Clean the coils and check the relay. It takes multiple sets of copper windings to get a compressor going but once it is going it takes half as much to keep it going. How do they do it? With a relay. Over time the arcing and amp draw associated with boosting the compressor takes its toll on that relay.

The canopy doesn't seeem to fit flush up against

You just need to wrap it and tuck it .. You might need to cut some of the fan wires shorter so there is not so much bulk under the canopy cover. The fans are shipped with enough wire leads to be able to use a down rod, They can be cut shorter when the fan is being installed.

Microwave is arcing on the antenna blade.

Arcing is often the result of the cover over the magnatron (The thing that produces the microwaves) being aged, burned or damaged. If you look inside the oven, you will see a cover (usually square or round and around 3-5 inches across depending on the machine)made from a flakey silver plastic/fibre material. If this is burned or has a hole, it needs replacing and this will probably cure your problem.

GE Microwave is arcing inside

Quite often this is due to grease or food particles stuck to the inside of the oven or stuck on or behind the waveguide cover.

The waveguide cover is usually about the size of a playing card and often held in place by a plastic rivet.

In some models it is the plastic ceiling.

It can be fragile, and the metal edges of the oven behind it can be sharp, so be careful!

The cover and the metal behind it should be cleaned with a mild, non-ammonia cleaner.

If the cavity metal of the oven is chipped or charred, it will have to be sanded smooth and clean and dried thoroughly.

Then you can apply some high-temperature appliance paint, available from places like Wal-Mart, Lowe's or Builder's Square.

If your waveguide cover is burned, it will need to be replaced.

If you need more specific help, please reply back with your brand and full model number.

We're happy to help and we appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.
