Unfortunately the Santos 3000 has been out of production for several years. I would suggest contacting Bodum directly, or finding a used unit on eBay.

If that doesn't work for you, there are manual vacuum brewers on the market that work great. They are also called siphon brewers. Mainly they are produced by Yama, Hario, and Bodum.

sounds like the heater coil is burned out. Might be time to replace the coffee maker.

Original BS filters are still sold on Amazon (search Bodum Santos Replacement Filter) and they are found regularly on ebay. The filter was never the greatest for preventing sediment - but sediment is what you learn to love, more or less, with vacuum pots and presses.

Not a seamstress, I have still managed to hand-stitch a few excellent filters from 100% canton cotton for my older vacpots. Assuming you have the filter hardware, woven cotton and some shirred elastic makes an excellent filter for vacuum pots. Clean/rinse after use and store in a glass of water in the fridge between uses.

Mine just starting boiling over after about the same amount of time, and custumer service says wash the inside where the heater element is? Ill try it but this is getting on my nerves.
