Hi Crystal,

If you are trying to install an application from the disk, you need to navigate to the setup file.

Under the Start button on the button left, click and select "My Computer". Then select "C:"

The screen shall display a number of files.
If you are looking to install the file, look for a file named "Setup"

You will prompted to input a product key which should have come with the product.

If you are attempting just to use an application there shall be a file with a name and a suffix of .exe.
For example, excel.exe

Windows 7 wont recognize dvd when i put hallmark card studio in dvd player

Try cleaning the disc (clean cloth going from middle out, not in circles). On the computer that does read the disc, try copying the disc contents onto a flash drive and then try installing the program from the flash drive instead of the disc if the computer still refuses to read it after cleaning the disc.

How can i install the powerpoint 2003?

  1. Insert the installation CD in your computer's disk drive and allow the installation to automatically begin. If the install doesn't begin automatically, click on the "Start" button at the bottom left-hand corner of your PC and choose "Control Panel." Next choose "Add/Remove Programs." Next you will see the option to install from a CD or floppy.
  2. Step 2 Choose the "CD or Floppy" option. Windowsmag-glass_10x10.gif will locate the previously inserted CD and begin the installation. You will be asked to enter your end user license agreement. Enter your license number that is located on the box of the software you purchased. Click "Next."
  3. Step 3 Choose the location you want to install the program. For example, the name of your local disk and the "Programs" folder will be displayed. If you do not want to install in this area, click "Browse" and go to the location on your PC you want to install the program. Once you have chosen the location, choose "Next."
  4. Step 4 Click "Install" on the "Begin Installation" page and the installation process will begin. This process might take a few minutes to complete. Once the installation has completed, you will receive a message the installation has completed successfully. Click "OK," "Next," then "Finish."
  5. Step 5 Verify the program has been installed successfully. Click on the "Start" button, then "Control Panel." The programs that are installed on your computer will be listed. Verify the PowerPoint 2003 program is listed.

"how to disable hard disk password in System utility of win xp

This is a Tough one!
If you dont mind loosing all your files
You can test to take the harddisk out from the computer and put it in an another computer as "slave disk"
Boot the computer and start.
You will find your drive in "my computer"
Try to do a total format.
If this does not work, put the disk back to its original settings and back to its original computer and try this:
Windows/DOS unlock Note: This requires taking the Archos apart, which will void your warranty!
  1. Grab atapwd (written by Alex Mina)
  2. Create a bootable DOS floppy disk, and put atapwd.exe on it
  3. Remove the harddisk from your Archos and plug it into a laptop (or a standard PC, using a 3.5" => 2.5" IDE adapter)
  4. Boot from the floppy and run atapwd.exe
  5. Select the locked harddrive and press enter for the menu
  6. For Fujitsu disks: Choose "unlock with user password", then "disable with user password". The password is empty, so just press enter at the prompt.
  7. For Toshiba and Hitachi disks, if the above doesn't work: Choose "unlock with master password", then "disable with master password". The password is all spaces.
  8. Your disk is now unlocked. Shut down the computer and remove the disk.
Big thanks to Magnus Andersson for discovering the Fujitsu (lack of) user password!

Hope this helped!!! it it did, Please vote!

Excel formula related to a date range

Use the IF and Date functions together. On sheet 3, put the birthday (3/15/1954) in cell B1, put the beginning date (1/1/1946) in cell C1 and the ending date (12/31/1964) in cell D1.
Then on Sheet 1, but the following formula in the cell you want an X to be placed in.
=IF(AND(Sheet3!B1>=Sheet3!C1,(Sheet3!B1<=Sheet3!D1)),"X"," ").
Make sure you type the formula Exactly as it appears.

Creating vacation accrual spreadsheet

Here is one way to do it:
1. In column A enter the name
2. In column B enter their start date in the format day-month-2008 (31-12-2008 for Dec. 31, 2008); if a day is less than 10, put zero in front (03, 04, etc.)
3. In column C put 31-12-2008 (December 31, 2008, the last day of the year)
4. In column D, put C1-B1 and format as a number with 2 places after the period (10.25 for example) if you want to track partial days, other format for no zeroes after the period (13)
5. In column E, put this formula:
(D2/30)*1.25 (assuming this is line 2)
You can then copy these lines as many times as you need to, total them, etc.

DATE DIFERANCE BETWEEN SELECTED COLOUMN

Are you trying to figure the difference in days between these dates and one single date (Dec. 31, 2008 for example)?

Whatever you're trying to do, here is the formula, assuming you're starting in A1:
Put the first date in the format Day-Month-Year in numbers (Sept. 3 is 03-09-2008)
Then put your other date in B1, in Day-Mo-Yr format (31-12-2008 for Dec. 31, 2008)
In C1 put B1-A1 and that will give you the number of days between those two dates.
