Question about Dometic Rooftop RV Air Conditioner
I have a 1997 Holiday Rambler motor home with 2 a/c units. Both should work with the generator. Only one works at a time. What do I need to do to fix this problem? The thermostat appears to be calling for both to work. When I turn the A/C off I hear a click in the one that is not working.
There is a fuse and a relay on the controller board of the unit that has to be checked. If the noise you mentioned is a CLICKING noise then its most probably the short in the relay. But if the noise is somewhat chirping then its a blown fuse problem that is making other wires and connections in the circuit short. This both relay and fuse needs to be checked to confirm the fault.
But if fuse and relay both checks out OK then its time to check the controller board the fault lies in controller board.
Thanks. keep updated for any more query.you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.
