The phone will not recieve signal and then you cannot make calls or attempt to get help with it. A message appears on the screen when you push the call button or push phone on the screen reading: The process android.process.acore has stoppedunexpectedly. Please try again. Then I continue to try and keep getting this same error message!!!!

I don't know what others have told you but I can understand how annoying it is to each time you click force to close that app it will pop-up over and over again. Here is the fix!
Caution :
(THIS WILL REMOVE ALL APPS BUT NOT YOUR PIX AND MUSIC!!)

Slide open keyboard
Press Alt and L at the same time you will get a screen with some options listed
Press Alt and W at the same time to wipe device to factory reset
Once it is finished press home and back key at the same time
Remove the battery
Reinsert the battery
This will wipe your device to factory reset and should fix your issue… You will need to log in to your gmail account like you initially did.

Follow this fixing instructions.This will wipe your device to factory reset and should fix your issue…

1. Turn the phone off.
2. Press and hold Home and Back.
3. While continuing to hold the buttons, press the Power button.

    I don't know what results you got from my fix above but, thank you for your feedback, please try to do a hard reset of your phone
    to see if that solves the problem. You can do this by:



    1. With the phone turned off, press and hold the HOME and BACK buttons,
    and then briefly press the END CALL/POWER button. The reset process will
    start after a few seconds.

    2. Wait for the phone to finish the reset process and then press MENU.



    If this does not solve the problem there should be a ROM update for the
    Hero out which could contain a fix for the problem. Try the
    hard reset if it doesn’t work go to htc.com for the ROM upgrade
    for the Hero.



    If the above steps do not resolve your issue, you may visit the
    support area on htc Web site. Please go to: http://www.htc.com/www/support.aspx Or you can go to: http://www.htc.com/select_country.htm,
    select your country and then click on the Support tab.

There's still no solution for this problem yet. I would suggest you to firstly Reset the handset to "Factory Restore". This worked for some users. But for some users, it is fixed when we instruct them to take out the battery and leave it outside for several hours. You also need to clean them if possible.

You can follow this steps on correcting the problem on your phone.

Slide open keyboard

Phone goes blank

sir is it blinks with white screen only or blinks with white screen then shut down?
-if the phone can receive/send text and mms messages while the incoming and outgoing calls become shut down,i think you need to replace the battery because it is weak.use only original battery.

Messaging

If you see my response's to other probs. people are having you will notice they are similar.
A lot of what appear to be network issues can be down to 3G probs range from delays sending receiving sms/mms, accessing internet, calls going to voice mail, no signal......

Try changing network mode to GSM 1st, for some reason this can be an issue with the fone trying to use 3G.

Menu>Tools>Settings>Network>Network Mode>GSM.

suggestions:
  • try inserting a new SIMcard of similar network, and if this work with your phone, secure a good signal.. then try sending a simple message.. then recieving a message..

Unable to make and recieve calls

I flashed and flexed the set but to no avail, tried a software update but no update was available from motorola. I then went to the Security settings of the set and restricted all outgoing calls and restricted all incoming calls except the phonebook entries. Then I dialed my mobile using a landline which was on my phonebook and my phone started recieving the calls, then after that I allowed all incoming and outgoing calls. This solved the problem. I believe it is sheer luck because I tried that step earlier on the same day but it gave no result.

try the simcard in another mobile if it orks then the problem is coming from the phone.
