Hello,

if your speaker is broken, the best you can do is to replace the broken speaker. This problem is fixable. Take the phone to a repairman to help you replace the speaker contact or do it yourself if you can.

Take care.

My left ear phone is not playing sound and i am woundering if its replaceable.

Hi Neveto,

Yes it can be repaired, you could take the ear phone to any electronic repairing center and they will fix it for you, it could be due to broken contact between the wire and speaker. If the repair is costly, just purchase a new one.

Hope this answers your question.

I cannot hear anything, not someone on the other

The problem is either in the speaker contact pads or the speaker itself. If you have the tools to disassemble the unit check the contact pads, clean it and lift up the speaker terminals to ensure it makes contact with the pads. If it doesn't work, check the speaker resistance using an ohmmeter. The resistance reading should be 20-30 ohms, otherwise replace speaker.
In addition, sliders use flexible ribbon connectors that may wear and crack over time. Check also this connector on your phone if cracks are obvious. You need to replace it then.

The sound doesnt work for anything at all but the sound on the headphones works when it is plugged in

That does indicate your speaker is damaged, when you plug in your headphones its using that as the speaker which is why it works. There is nothing you can do to personally fix it, and cell phones typically aren't worth having them repaired. If you have phone insurance use it, if not you'll still have to replace it. Sorry about your luck, thank you for choosing Fixya!

Wont display anything but the speaker is ok

Your display circuit is broken, even if the LCD-panel,
seems to be ok the display is damaged.
This is a very common problem in Nokia phones.
The only way to fix this is to change the display.
You need a T-6 Torx Skrewdriver to do the job.
You can find displays for fair price at :

Speaker on g1 phone stopped working

Well first of, there is your warranty, but if your phone breaks after expirations, there is both an T-Mobile G1 Repair Guide and a third party T-Mobile G1 Repair Service, so there is no need to worry.

Flip up ear speaker stopped working

Sounds like the ear piece connection between the two halves of the phone has been broken. Your "speaker phone" function should still work because the sound comes from the back of the main body of the phone. To the best of my knowledge, this can't be fixed. You will need a new phone. I hope this helps.
