Question about Berkel 827E Gravity Feed Deli Meat Slicer
Just like with any saw the clearance between the saw and the housing is incorrect. the most common cause is that someone dropped something on the slicer or dropped a saw, or the blade has become slightly bent. watch the blade spin while it is unplugged and find out when and where the scraping noise is coming from. then fix it. it could be a bent blade also but usually readjustment of the housing or safety guards fixes the problem. never work on a saw of any kind that is plugged in as serious harm can result.
