I have an error message on the konica 7450 - tray 1 sensor error, ive had a look to try and resolve the problem with no luck, please help,

Most machines refer to the bypass tray as tray 1. You might want to make sure there is not a jam in there.

F26-1 at power up. [Description] F26-1 at power up.
1. The TDS (Toner Density Sensor), in the developing unit, has detected a depletion of toner.
Note: This may have been caused by the customer making an excessive amount of copies while the machine was out of toner. It may also be caused by a bound toner addition system.
Clean all toner from the toner recycle and toner supply assemblies. Confirm that the gear mesh between the toner supply auger drive gear and toner supply motor (M4) is flush. If toner supply conveyance is normal and the toner cavity is empty, install a new toner cartridge (Item #950236) and then perform the following diagnostic mode to replenish the developing unit with toner:
a. Access the 47 mode (power the copier ON while pressing the 4 and 7 keys).
b. Enter output code 54.
c. Press the START button.
Note: Toner will now be added to the developing unit and stop automatically when target level is reached, although it will not run any longer than 3 minutes.
d. Power copier OFF/ON to return to normal copy mode.
Note: Perform the following 25 mode software switch settings to minimize the amount of copies that can be made, prior to copy inhibit, when the ADD TONER message is displayed:
- Access the 25 mode (hold down the 2 and 5 keys at power ON).
- Select [1] (SOFTWARE SW).
- Using the up and down arrows, scroll to the following software switches and set them as follows:
a. 4-0 set to 0
b. 4-1 set to 0
c. 4-2 set to 0
d. 4-3 set to 0
- Power OFF/ON to return to normal copy mode.
A. These setting will allow the ADD TONER message to be displayed immediately and only allow 100 copies to be thereafter.
B. Copier inhibit will automatically be released when a new toner cartridge is installed.

2. The toner conveyance gear is worn. The toner conveyance gear is driven by the toner supply motor located on the toner supply unit.
Replace the toner conveyance gear (p/n 26NA32680).

I may be able to get the manuals for a nominal charge.

Is best to set the tray to auto and then set the paper type. If you have already set up the printer with the correct settings it will pull from that tray automatically.

I just wanted to add a little note to this issue. I had the same problem, except the tiny lever on the output tray microswitch was broken off, so there was no way for me to lock the switch in position with glue (or tape as suggested above). So instead, I bent the two leads for the switch as close together as possible using needlenose pliers and used a soldering pencil to melt the existing solder and fuse the leads together, effectively closing the circuit permanently. (I could also have just disconnected the two wires from the switch and soldered them together.) I now have a functioning printer.

Front cover is on the right hand side, back is on the left hand side in the middle, and the top cover is like a little button on top. All the others are little openings.

How to enter service mode konica minolta magicolor 7450

1. Display [SERVICE MENU] on the menu screen and press the MENU/SELECT key.
2. [ENTER PASSWORD] message is displayed.
3. Set first digit of password with the up key??/down key?? and press the right key??.
4. Repeat the above procedures to set up to seventh digit of password.
Enter "KMM7450" for service password. Press the MENU/SELECT key.
5. Press the MENU/SELECT key.

Hi elfethi,

This code c1183 is commonly caused by trays in your finisher which are not fully inserted into it's slot. It indicates an elevator motor Ascent/Descent Failure. You may want to try follow these steps that help you address the concern:

1. Check the output bin trays which are at the far left side of your machine.
2. Make sure that they are properly installed into the holders.
3. Then refresh your system by turning it off and on.
4.After doing these, the error should be gone.

If you're still getting the error after making sure that trays are properly installed then this means that the issue is already with the sensors or elevator motor. You will need to contact a local repair man.

I got a error code C-0204 and I`ve checked the tray 2 and is everything ok, but i still receiving this message and i cannot print. Please any help?

C0204 as I see you already know is a tray 2 elevator failure. Meaning the machine does not see tray 2 lifting up the paper. This is usually caused by improper paper loading, elevator sensor failure or lift motor failure. You can still use the copier/printer if you leave tray 2 open and inch or 2. Just use the other trays until repairs can be made.

Fix for 13.12 error


You are getting Error 13.12 due to paper jam at Paper feed 1. It can also happen when the Paper doesn't reach PS2(paper sensor 2).

Please check the picture for more details---

Try printing from Tray 2 or Tray 3, if it fails printing from tray 2 or 3 then Paper sensor 2 (PS2) is bad. To check the movement of flag insert the paper manually in the sensor path.

Remove any paper present in printer and then perform a paper path test using a duplexer. If issue is still not resolved then please remove the duplexer unit and re seat it. After re seating the duplexer your issue will be resolved.

My brand new machine Bizhub 211 have paper jam problem

COF32 means the ATDC sensor has detected some unusually high or low readings.
The ATDC sensor measure the toner lever inside the developer unit.
Try swithcing on/off, open/close the front door to clear the code.
If this doesn't work, you'll need an engineer to reset the ATDC level.

yes 2 things. 1 bad sensor. 2 bad paper. change paper brand and type. use hammil mill 20# long grain brightness90 and above to test. if this works you need better paper. if not you have a bad jam sensor and need a tech to repair ir.

not familiar with that machine, but
most of these problems are simple, usually customer errors

1-some have sensors in the bak of the machine where the tray slides in, remove ray and look for paper in the back
2-is there any slides or something to adjust to say it is 8.5x11?
3-switch trays is it recording the correct size- if yes the sensors are ok
4-take alook at the other tray it is probably set for a different size paper, try switching it to letter and see if there is a difference in the way the trays are
4- it could be set wrong in the menu
5-bad sensors
