Question about JVC HD-61Z575 61" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television

Open Question

JVC HD 61Z575. Power on. Lamp is on (seen from rear heat vent). Picture doesn't display but bottom half of screen full width is texture pattern. Upper half of screen is "interference" pattern full width. Selfcheck shows Sync M NG. Tun NG5. IP NG2. S NG. AVSW NG4. RGB NG9. HDMI NG1. All others check OK. What's the issue? Cost to repair? Bought in 11/2004. Only replaced two lamps so far and the set has been great.

SOURCE: NO PICTURE OR SOUND

Hi
Usually, if the red light is flashing and you get no picture, that means that the lamp life cycle is finished and you'll have to get a replacment lamp. the lamp has about 3000 hours of life (2 to 3 years under nomal use).

You can buy a replacment lamp from here
http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-DLP-LAMP-BULB-JVC-FOR-HD-61G787-HD-61G887-HD-61Z456_W0QQitemZ320274762989QQcmdZViewItem?IMSfp=TL0807151554r7572

Hope this helps
Cheers

SOURCE: Gray spots on screen on a JVC HDILA model HD 56G 787

Spots on the screen/picture can be caused by three things. Dust on the inside of the screen, on the mirror or in the light engine or optical block. The first two can be corrected by you if you can gain access to the interior. If it is the third (light engine. it will require a technician. If this answered your question, please be sure to rate the answer. Thanks!

Replaced lamp in my HD 61Z575, but when I turn on my TV, nothing happens (no fan noise). After ~10 seconds, the Light LED starts blinking rapidly. Could it possibly be the brand new lamp? Ballast?

The old lamp was in there before the fan work?U replaced the lamp u put the door back on did u make sure the safety latch is off and tightly closed with the the lamp door. The continue blinking LED light does it make alot of clicking noises too.Yes,then the Ballast board it is dead too.The Ballast board only job are to help the projection lamp to ignite to work.

61 inch projection tv flashing on and off

The most common problem with JVC LCD rear projection TV is bulb failure. Do not panic, this is normal after 2-5 years of use.

You can change the complete assembly or for less cost just change the bulb. Do not use Osram or other funny brand "rebuilt" or locally made bulb. Use a Philips replacement and all should be good.

Changing the bulb involves removing the lamp assembly and taking it apart like a puzzle and replacing the bulb. JVC are a little more difficult to do than most others because the wires on the original bulb are molded into the glass on the original bulb. Wires must be cut and stripped of insulation before connecting to the new bulb.

All JVC LCD Rear projections TVs use TSCL110 TSCL110U TS-CL110U Lamps.

Green Tint on half of the screen

This is most likely a defect in the optical unit (about $1500.00 part). If out of warranty probably will just have to live with it. Those op units are also hard to get.
