I have 5 Kyocera FS-3900DN laserprinters to repair. I've disassambled them. The only problem I've recognized the fuser rollers are run-down.The metal that can be seen in the rollers magnetizes...

I've never heard of anyone attempting what you describe, but I'm concerned that the new coating will not be even enough for a satisfactory print, even if the drum will function in the static retention.

I'm getting ghost images on multi prints to the point it is unreadable, is this the drum or fuser?

The only way to tell is to start a print and power off when print is still inside. If you see the ghost before the fuser it's the drum, if clean before the fuser, it's the fuser. You can also open the back door and look at the fuser roller with a light, the fuser roller should be clean but if the roller has images it's time for a fuser.

The wheel at the end of the drum broke. mita machine #kt47. do I have to replace the drum? at least i think it's the drum, its the roller with wires attached at each end. the machine code # 199307

It sounds to me likeit is your fuser unit.
Depending on the model you can either replace the fuser drive gear or replace the entire fuser unit.
