Could be the Red CRT going on you or could be a problem with the red CRT circuit. Please let me know your model number and I should be able to help you diagnose the set properly

The color is all red.

I want you to do a simple visual check of something that will tell me what the problem may be.

Go to a channel that is in black and white--old movie and tell me what color the screen/picture is.

You can also turn the COLOR in the customer menu all the way off and look that way.

What we are trying to see here is if TRACKING is set correctly or has changed. If the screen is somewhat to medium reddish it may be an adjustment outside of the customer menu.

Let me know what you find--I have seen several of these where the black and white picture was somewhat red--the idea is it should be as close to black and white as possible--if red is the predominant background color the picture will look reddish.

If this has helped and you confirm the red instead of black and white picture--I can tell you a easy way to adjust this.

If this information told you something you did not know and helps you rate this solution as I do this here for free.

The colour on my TV is a reddish colour. Have tried the colour adjustment. Skin colours in particular.

simple. easy. you have 3 screen adjustments. red green blue. turn color all the way down. you should then get just a black and white picture, but in your case, it will still be reddish. behind the speaker grill is an access panel for screen adjustment. remove speaker grill. remove access panel. you will see a block assembly roughly 6 inches square with 6 knobs on it. 3 are for screen, 3 are for focus. adjust until you have a black and white picture. then go into menu and turn your color back up. enjoy!

What is this

objects depending on the ambient light (sun, fluorescent tube etc) tend to have a reddish to bluish tinge. white balance eliminates this colour distortion by ensuring that a perfectly white image is obtained at the video output when the camera is pointed at a reference perfectly white object.
'Auto white balance' simply means that the camera does this automatically.

Reddish tinged photos

It might be a possible CCD defect , as usually the symptoms are odd colours in a photo hence your red tinge in your photos. Its quite expensive as it labour intensive to fix .Rather just buy another camera or you can try to solder another ccd from anotehr camera > look on ebay for parts (not recommended precise alignment needed).

Picture is turning red

I had the same problem, where the red CRT was shorted out. It kept on getting redder and redder until on day I turned in on and it was all red. CRT's can be pricey so it would be best to call a repair tech to diagnose the problem. Most will do in home service so you probably won't have to cart the tv somewhere. Once I replaced mine it's worked great ever since.

Pictures reddish or orange

Although normal room lights (tungsten lights) appear white to our eyes, their light is actually much "warmer" than daylight, giving a reddish or orange color to pictures. This happens with digital and film cameras. To prevent or lessen this reddish or orange color: If your digital camera has a selectable White Balance mode (check your camera's User's Guide) and you are not using the camera or external flash, set the White Balance mode for "Tungsten" light. If your pictures are reddish even when you use the camera flash or external flash, the room lighting is overpowering the flash. Try setting the White Balance mode for "Tungsten" and continue to use the flash. If your camera does not have a selectable White Balance mode, use the camera flash or external flash when taking pictures in lighting that makes your pictures turn out reddish or orange. If you can, turn down or turn off one of the room lights (without making the room too dark), or move your subject so that it is not being hit directly by the room lights. If you can, when taking pictures in the daytime, try opening any drapes that might be covering windows. Letting in natural daylight improves the color quality of the lighting.
