Question about Duke 59-E3X Electric Single Oven

1 Answer

Duke 6-13 I have a Duke 6-13 and I noticed that the oven takes a long time to heat to 350. What could the problem be? What's the normal fee a service tech would charge to diagnose and repair this problem?

What causes a duke E101 convection oven to not cook evenly?

If it's getting hot, but it isn't cooking as fast as normal, your convection blower/fan may be out. If you can hear the fan running, but the oven isn't getting hot enough, then you most likely have a heat element or thermostat problem.
Fan and blower problems tend to be a bit more common with convection ovens.

My oven seems to take a really long time to preheat -- about 20 minutes to reach 350 Fahrenheit. Is that how long it is supposed to take? Thanks

Hi,

Hi, the elements on my duke e101-e 240v single phase convection oven keep going out every 3 to six months...is there any other reason why they would go out so often?

Check that the elements are high quality, dont use cheap elements, also replace all the elements and all are working, do not leave the door open while heating for along time. Do not power cold water on them while hot to clean let them cool down gradually.make sure the termina conection to are not loose during replacement. swicth off when you dont need to use for a long

Maytag Gemini mgr6775 Lower oven takes FOREVER to preheat, but even when it says it is at 350, an independent oven thermometer says 310. It takes so long to bake anything.

Dear Scrapyourhea,
First ensure that your independent thermometer is working fine. It seems that there is problem with your heat mechanism. Normally this type of problems requires servicing....
Download the manual from given link and go through it. This will tell you the cause for the same.

Maytag gas oven cycles every 20 seconds

yes it is normal . but i know your not the first to think its not , todays ovens are so tight , it only takes 10 seconds of heat to keep them at proper temp . it used to be that ovens where kept at a 3 degree sweep that is set at 350 turn on and up to 353 then off ,cool down to 350 and back on . this was a longer time off and a longer time on topday we keep to 1 degree ! 350 on to 351 off to 350 on and so on ....... so short berst of heat make for a more even oven ........ but i know i hate it too ! good luck

Kenmore oven - Not heating up

Check the BACK of your temperature knob for an adjustment. I was ready to replace my heating elements when I accidently discovered the adjustment. Made the adjustment and no more problems. My oven now stays within 4 degrees of settings.
