Question about Motorola Mobility H700 Wireless Headset

2 Answers

For some reason, My Motorola H700 quit going into pairing mode? No matter what I do I can't get it to go into pairing mode. I have a Motorola Droid, and have had it connected to it before, but now it won't do it? It's fully charged, and the phone bluetooth is on and discoverable! But the purple light will not come on. It just flashes blue a couple of times, chimes and that's it! No connection.

I looked through the manual and it covered these senarios. I even took it into the Verizon store and they couldn't do it either. (nothing else was with/near me that it COULD have been paired to. It simply comes on, flashes blue, stops, and that's it! I've even tried making a call w/it after opening the boom in case it's paired w/ someone else somewhere, but nothing!

I have had this problem as well. Just to recap the problem. When you push the talk button and it turns purple, then you flip the speaker boom the unit starts flashing blue and will not pair. If this is the case then you should try unclipping the ear piece on the unit. Then repeat the pairing feature on the unit only this time hold the unit open with additional force. Not so much that you break the speaker boom, but enough to help the unit make a connection when it is flipped open. The problem with these units is that sensor inside does not always make a good connection especially after time and use. This should resolve your problem.

Are you sure that you are putting it into pairing mode correctly? Also, it will not go into pairing mode if another devices that it is paired to is on. Make sure that all devices that it is paired to are off then flip open the boom to initiate pairing mode.

Have you tried resetting it? Leaving it on the charger for 24 hours?

Can't get it to go into pairing mode

If I remember right, there are some H700 headsets which support smart find. If this is your case, you must ensure that all the bluetooth enabled devices, which have been previously paired with it, have their bluetooth radios turned off. Then, some 5 seconds after you open the headset's boom, the light should become steadily lit, thus indicating it is in pairing mode. Otherwise (i.e. if it doesn't support smart find), with its boom closed, press the call button for some 5 seconds, until the light is steadily lit. Then, open the boom. Either way, turn on the bluetooth radio of the device you now want to pair your headset with, and make it search for new devices. After a while, the H700 should appear in the device' screen. Select it and make it connect. If a pairing code (or PIN or passkey) is requested, enter '0000' (four zeros).
Hope you are able to sort your problems out.
Regards, Carlos

My H700 Motorola Bluetooth does not go to pairing mode by steadily lit in purple, even after turning off the phone it is currently paired with and after I close and reopen the H700 Motorola Bluetooth ...

First off, you want to have the H700 fully charged up and it's probably good to have the phone fully charged up too. Now turn off the H700 (the ring around the talk button should not be flashing blue every few seconds) then push the talk button for about five seconds, until the ring around it displays a purple color. Immediately let go of the button and flip open the tiny microphone extension. Now it's in pairing mode and you can leave it while you fiddle with the phone to finish the process

Motorola H700 won't pair with LG CU720 phone

You will need to enter pairing mode on your device. The H700 User Manual indicates that you do so by first turning off any previously paired device and opening the headset BOOM. The indicator light should light a steady purple while in pairing mode.

You may not need to turn off your phone if you do not desire this, you may be able to get by turning the blue tooth function off and on, on your phone and attempt to pair again.

Pairing Pin is likely 0000.

On the left side of the page click Demos
When the demo window opens click, Select Demos button.
Scroll through the list until you see Sending Via bluetooth.
Follow the interactive instruction to connect to your H700.
You'll need to set your H700 into pairing mode when searching for the bluetooth H700.
It might be a good idea to book mark the main page.

Good Luck! Take your time.
