Programme Stopped before it had emptied. Reduce Crease and Mini Load light flashes. Tried to use pump out to drain water but nothing happens - Can someone please help.

The machine starts as normal it sounds like the water begins to come into the machine, however it then stops and sounds like the water is being taken back out of the machine, whilst this is happening the mini load is flashing as well as the on/off button. please help!! Alex

The machine starts as normal and the water begins to come into the machine, however it then stops and the water starts draining from the machine, whilst this is happening the mini load is flashing as well as the on/off button and the only way of stopping the machine is at the fuze box.

I got the reduced creases light and the mini load light flashing on my hotpoint aqurius wf541

(same again!) Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Sorry but I do not know your particular machine's fault lights coding BUT I would suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not go to spin or release the door lock if there is water still left inside.
Here are my complete and general pre-typed (!) guidance notes for checking both the drain filter and the drain motor ;-0)
-------------------------------------

If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and most are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play!

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!

Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!

Hi our hotpoint wf541 starts its cycle as normal but doesnt spin and the mini load and reduce crease buttons flash as well as the on/off button, any ideas of how i can fix this thanks.

hi i had the same problem.
its either your filter is blocked or your pump is not working.
after switching the power off, remove the front bottom panel of the machine and unscrew the filter cap on the right behind that panel. check it's intact and clean iside, if not clean it out or replace it and that should fix it. be careful screwing the filter cap back in and make sure its on tight.
to check your pump is working you can pull out the machine and check that water is coming out of the hose by putting it on the pump out / drain cycle after pouring in some water for it to pump out.

Aquarius hotpoint wf541 wont pump the water out at the end of the cycle

You need to clean the filter.
Remove lower rear cover of washer.
Locate and remove large black hose fastened to bottom of drum.
Remove and clean the filter inside hose.
Remove hose onto pump, and check for blockage or obstruction here as well
Hope this helps with your problem

Water will not drain - rinse hold/mini load lights flashing

You might have to take the pump off and clean out the debris in the line theres probably lint, change and other things in the line. Take the lines off and run a piece of wire through the lines to make sure their clear.

Hi my hotpoint wf541 will not run the start stop light and the mini load light are flashing i believe these are fault codes but have no refrences to what they are

I have encountered a similar problem. The following lights were flashing on and off:

  • On/Off.
  • Reduced creases.
  • Mini Load.
I also found that previously one of the 'lifters' inside the drum had broken off and someone had tried to put it back in place and continued to use the washing machine. After a short period of time the above mentioned flashing lights began.

I first suspected the pump, but this was fine. I then disconnected the hose which connects the hole from the drum to the pump and I found a child's sock blocking the hose. I removed the obstruction, put it back together and the machine worked perfectly. I also replaced the lifter (apparently these break quite often) and the machine has been working perfectly ever since that day.

I hope this helps. Good luck.
