I just bought a kenwood kdc-210u car radio and every time I turn it on I have to switch off demo mode and reset my clock and audio settings. but my radio stations stay set. How do I turn off demo mode

also to add if you have to rest the time every time then there is no continuous power to the unit if you have to do the time all the time when you turn it on the unit needs 2 lives on continuous and on switched, switched is from the ignition and will only power on the unit if the key is turned continuous power is to save settings has to be on permanent live connection to the battery fused.

Clock display light won't turn off even with the unit off

Press and hold MODE and then press PRESET 1 to turn on or off the clock display priority. This should allow you to set if the clock stays on while the unit is off.

Aside from this, you may need to double check your wiring, specifically the RED and BLUE wires. The RED needs to be connected to a switched source of power and not directly to your battery/etc. It needs to be a source that is only ON when you want it to be ON (such as the ignition on wire). The YELLOW wire is the only one that should be connected directly to your battery.
Double check the BLUE wire is connected correctly to your AMP as the AMP running all the time would kill a car battery overnight where-as the stereo clock display alone should take many days to kill a properly functioning car battery.

When connecting power to Sound Stream amplifier model # LW4.480,Whats the configuration?I'm wondering if the remote trrminal next to the pos. and grnd. needs a connection in order to power up the amp?

Hi Alex, my name is Shaun. i will try to help you with your problem. The remote terminal you are referring to is an internal contactor that will power up the amp when your vehicle is turned on. It needs to be hooked up to a switched hot, so that when you turn on your key, the amp will power up. Your best bet would be to pigtail into the switched hot wire that powers your head unit. Be sure NOT to use the power antenna switch wire, if your head unit has one, as this will cause the amp to turn off every time you put in a CD or use an MP3 player. Also be sure not to use the "constant hot" wire for your head unit. Doing so will cause the amp to stay on all the time and drain your battery. Hope this helps. If you need any more help with this, feel free to reply to this answer and we can dig deeper. Have a great day!

My car stereo wont save my favorite stations, why? Please help. Everytime I turn in off everything resets.

You probably forgot to plug a wire that needs power all the time, look in your INSTALLATION MANUAL to locate that wire and plug it to a continuous source of power (even when the car is switched off)...

Hope this helped!!!

Will my b4 250.0 work with out hand held remote?

Absolutely. Any car amplifier needs only 12v constant power, Chassis ground, and a switched 12v source to power up. Your switched source is most commonly from the remote turn on lead that comes from your head unit.

Switched amp to anther car red protector light stays on i have a quantum audio 2400 amp

unplug input raca's one at a time. turn off, then on. repeat until all you have is the 12Volt wire, the remote wire and the ground wire connected. if you get it to work after you unplug one of the rca's then you have a short. if not then remove all speakers connected, again one at a time until you don't have anything connected. this way you can find out which component is shorted. if you unplugged all rca's and speaker out wires and unit still stays on protect mode, check fuses. if ok, then your amp may have shorted out.

No power seaworthy marine amp 400

Do you have anything plugged into the "REM +" slot on the power side of the amp? You need either a signal from a Stereo head unit or another power source to get the amp to actually turn on. If you are using a switched setup for the amp, you can make a little jumper from the Batt+ to the REM+. It doesn;t draw anything significant, it just needs power to signal the amp to turn on. If you aren;t using a headunit, make sure that you wire in a switch inline between ther power source and the REM+ port on the amp, otherwise, the amp will be on all the time.

No sound from subs.

Sounds like you have the Remote turn on hooked to constant 12V instead of a switched power.
The Blue/White wire off the module should go directly to the amplifier remote terminal.
If this has a constant 12V when the key is off, the module is defective and needs to be repaired/returned.

Quick question about the power

The remote turn on terminal on the amp needs to be connected to a switched power source. Typically, it's the remote turn-on/power antenna wire on the head unit. If your head unit doesn't have such a control wire, connect the remote turn-on terminal to a wire that's controlled by the ignition switch.

It's VERY important to fuse all of the wires properly. If you're unsure of the proper fuse for a given wire size, read pages 14 and 16 of the Basic Car Audio Electronics site.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
