Question about Microsoft Computers & Internet
Tried playing a DVD and mp3 file through ZP, MPC, VLC, WMP, iTunes, Winamp, and QT and there is no sound. All applications also have no sound. Streaming in browsers however, have sound. Such as Youtube and Last.fm. I think I remember having sound before fiddling with gpedit.msc and altering some registry keys for full administrator access.
Do a system restore on your computer to the date before the issue started ths will revert back to the day when you still had audio/sound..... if it does not work try uninstalling all the medai applications you just mentioned you installed on your computer and leave windows media player on the computer then restart your system try another audio file if it will work and yeah check you audio settings on the operating system as well uninstall sound card drivers if you need to just to elimated and do everything possbile relevant to the issue try a head set if the is sound or an external speaker.... ^_^
