Camera will not take picture. It says that it is busy. It will flash but will not take. Took many pictures today and then it started acting up tonight and we can't fix it. Any suggestions?

Dear Kolin,
Take your battery & memory card out atleast for 5 min (Avg 15 min) and put them again. Then set your gadget to factory defaults and if possible format your memory card.... (before formatting you can take back up of your card)..........

Cannon EOS Rebel XS shows busy display stopped working

Just got a brand new camera. Played around with it a few nights to learn all the parts and buttons. Went to a concert tonite. While waiting for the show I took many test shots to see how the camera would work under these contiditions. Used a 75 to 300 Cannon lens. I had just got the settings about right when the show started. All of a sudden the display went dark and "busy" flashed in the view finder. But it would not take any more pictures. Taking the battery out and removing the sd card did not help. The auto focus and flash still worked but nothing else.
This camera is going back to the store if I can't get some help. PLEASE............. vj

I can not take pictures

update, possible solution..
I pulled the batteries for 24 hours, attempting to force a reset of the camera. Today it worked, took pictures and zoomed just fine. I shut it off after about 10 pics and turned it back on and back to the start... Took the batteries out for a few minutes and put it back in and back in business. Hope this helps at least get SOME functionality out of it. This won't serve as a long term solution for me, but perhaps will lead towards a full answer.

Camera won't turn on

not sure if you have the same problem..but i have the same camera and when i turned it on the screen was all white..it still worked and took pictures but i could only see them on the computer.. i had my friends dad open it up and he found a foam like piece that fell from somewhere and was causing a wire to short out in the LCD screen.
