The code E68 indicates that a button is stuck. Check the buttons by pressing them one by one to find the stuck button or enter service diagnostic mode and perform the key test to determine which key is stuck. Once the key is determined, try to unstuck it; replace the electronic control board if the error code continues to appear after the button is unstuck.

Press and hold simultaneously the Select and Cancel buttons for six seconds to reset the control then immediately after the buzzer sounds, turn the cycle selector knob 5 clicks counterclockwise to position the cycle indicator light second from the bottom.

Press and hold the Options and Cancel button simultaneously for two seconds to enter the service diagnostic mode. The buzzer will sound three times and all LEDs will flash indicating the service diagnostic mode has been entered successfully.

Rotate the cycle selector knob 4 clicks to the Heavy Duty cycle; the motor runs with the heater off. The buttons can now be tested. Press each button and all corresponding LEDs should flash; otherwise the button is stuck or a faulty. Unstuck the key and perform the key test again; replace the control board if the problem is not resolved.

Access to the control board requires the removal of the top panel and the console. Disconnect power to the dryer prior to servicing to avoid the risk of electric shock.

Remove the two screws attaching the top panel to the rear of the dryer then slide the panel rearward and lift it off the dryer.

Remove the four screws, two on each side, securing the console to the front panel then flip the console forward. Disconnect the wires from the control board and lift the console off.

Remove the screws mounting the control board to the console and lift the control off. Remove the control board's rear cover by releasing the two locking tabs the flip the cover off the control board. Try to unstuck the faulty key and reassemble the dryer in reverse of the disassembly steps.

I have the problem and I tried doing the above steps to test the buttons but it wont successfully complete the test... After the second time I press and hold the selct & cancel buttons simultaneously it doesnt beep three times like you indicate it should. I already took off the control board and checked to see if any buttons were stuck and they dont appear so. I am so frustrated.

Patricia, we apologize that you have had such challenges with your Frigidaire Affinity Dryer. I would suggest double-checking a few things. First, let's check the lint filter area. Let's ensure that there is no thick lint or lint residue. The next item we need to check is the ducting that leads outside, and outside where the ducting exits, to make sure that nothing is clogged with lint or any other obstructions.

If the air flow is being blocked, this could cause your dryer to take a long time to dry or stop mid-cycle. If this is the case, it could potentially cause overheating, which could cause the dryer to stop mid-cycle as a safety precaution.

If you find that there are no blockages or lint residue, you have additional options: First, ask your repairman to contact the manufacturer while diagnosing your dryer to check and double-check that nothing has been overseen in regards to resolving these issues. Secondly, you are always welcome to contact the manufacturer directly and see what other resolutions may be available to you.

-Best regards -

Dryer will not stop spinning when door is closed

Good Morning Jeff,

I see that you are having trouble with your Frigidaire dryer, model# GLGQ2152ES, to stop spinning, even though all the lights are off. It could possibly be the different boards and sensors miscommunicating with each other. I suggest giving the appliance a hard reset. You will do this by either unplugging it or cutting the power off at the circuit breaker for 2-3 minutes. When you turn the power back on, if the dryer is still spinning, without you wanting it to, I would suggest contacting either the manufacturer or your local authorized technician. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Try setting a lower spin speed. You may have a bulky load which the washer is having a difficult time getting up to the high speed spin you have selected. Also, did you know that on most LG washers, you can do just a spin without a rinse? Just turn the washer power on, then, without selecting a cycle, just push the spin speed selector to select the spin speed desired. This should set the cycle for about a 12 to 14 minutes pump and spin only. Then push start. You can spin that bulky load at the lowest spin, then try it again at the next faster spin if needed, without adding rinse water.

LG Washing Machine All-in-One

Some magic happened today!

I got the thing (wd-12331ad) to dry without having to run a wash first!

Also, I seemed to get it to do a spin only run...

The way to get it to dry :
-----------------------------------
(for a set time - I've not managed to get any of the auto-dry settings to work)
from machine being off:
> press the power button.
> press the "Dry" button 'til "Time" lights up
>>> press "Dry" again to get the desired duration
> press the spin button 'til the spin speed shows blank/ the RPM light goes out.
> press "Start/Pause"

It will then dry for the number of minutes specified!

Not perfect, I know but that's serious progress from where I was before; having to re-run a wash cycle to get it to dry anything...

Something to note:
- The machine worryingly sounds like it's starting to fill with water when you start the "Just Dry" program which scared me at first. BUT it stops after a second or so (I think it's just cleaning out the detergent tray so it doesn't bake any leftover powder)

For "spin only" from machine being off:
-------------------------------------------------------
> press the power button.
> press the spin button
>>> if you press "Start/Pause" now you get a 13 minute 1200 spin cycle
>>> press the spin button again and then "Start/Pause", it seems to drain itself for 1 minute
>>> pressing spin repeatedly, cycles through the spin speeds.

Things I don't know:
----------------------------
- I don't know if you can combine spin and heat.
- I don't know whether the auto-dry programs are available
- I don't know what other programs are available from the "Dry"/"Spin" buttons

...So if anyone does any experimenting, please let us know the results, you never know, we might end up with a half way useful set of instructions! I'm starting to think the machine's not half as bad as it seems when following the manual alone.

Hope that helps.
