There is possibly a 2 part fault. one, At the valve, you will have to remove plastic tube attatched to the solonoid body (After the water is switched off of course.). then carefully remove damaged section ,then reattach to the solonoid body. Once leaks are sorted, the second problem will possibly be you need to replace the Water filter). If after a time, it is not replaced, the display will indicate a new filter will be required......Actually, once the leak is repaired, check from there. possibly.no more issue after that.

Actually the light will flash when the water pressure is too low. So once you have fixed the leak the light will stop flashing.

Water not dispensing, but icemaker is working

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.

The 2 most probably suspects are the micro-switch at the dispenser and the inlet water valve in the bottom rear of the unit.

Here is a manual that will help you:
http://adcxns1.whirlpool.com/Service/SrvTechAdm.nsf/2cd44500d572193285256a45004fd9d6/8527f904cc8ea8cd85256b5800672333/$FILE/4322658A.pdf

See page 23 for accessing the micro-switch

See this link for water function: (Bottom of the page l;ast step)

These solenoids must have continuity across the terminals.
If you have continuity you can try to reverse the 2 power connectors on them and press the water function in the door. Mind you if you get water in the icemaker by pressing the water dispenser actuator the micro-switch is good and the solenoid is bad. Just make sure to re-connect the wiring correctly on the 2 solenoids. Additionally use a rag to remove the excess water from the ice-maker.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

Water intermittently leaks from dispenser for past few months.

Try unplugging the water control valve on the rear of refrigerator on the side that turns on the dispenser. If while unplugged you continue to get dripping water it would point to the dual water control valve being defective. Tell me what you find, Sea Breeze

Very little water from water dispenser. Also stoped producing ice all of a sudden.

Check water valve on rear of unit and make sure you have plenty of water from inlet line, is so, and you have water filter, replace water filter, if not, replace water valve.

The water dispenser constantly drips water. Is there a solenoid that is bad

Yes, pull refrig out from wall, remove cover on rear portion bottom of frig, follow water inlet line to where water valve is located. Be sure to turn refrig and water off before working on unit. Replace water valve, available at most appliance parts stores

Water Dispenser not working

Your water line could be frozen in the door. You can disconnect the line under the unit before it goes into the door at the bottom hinge. Push the dispenser button and see if it comes out there. If it does leave the door open till it thaws
disconnect the line to the water dispenser at the water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in and try the dispenser. if you hear the valve work but water doesn't come out, the valve is bad. If you don't hear the valve, the dispenser switch is bad.

Water does not get up to the upper spray head

When you try the water dispenser you should hear the water inlet valve which is on the back where the water supply comes in. If you do hear it then Your water line could be frozen in the door. You can disconnect the line under the unit before it goes into the door at the bottom hinge. Push the dispenser button and see if it comes out there. If it does leave the door open till it thaws.
If you don't hear the valve working the dispenser switch is bad. thumbs up

Steam comes from wand when set to dispense water.

Check the connection to the boiler from the pump, there is no water going to the boiler. Try this test, remove the brew unit you will see a white plastic valve behind it, carefully lift the small lever on the valve(HOT WATER), if water sprays, then the problen is at the brew unit, if no water then the boiler inlet or outlet is clogged.

The water will not stop coming out of the door dispenser

1 of two things. 1)the switch at the dispense flap has failed. 2) the water valve solenoid that the sitch activates has failed. you will need to pull the unit away from the wall and remove the bottom panel...on the right side you will see the valve assembly. remove the power connection to the vavles....then turn your water on...water out of dispenser means bad solenoid/valve....no water means bad dispenser switch.if its the switch you can leave the solenoid to the dispenser unplugged until you get the part.
