Question about Kitchen Ranges

1 Answer

I couldn't open MW door so I filed down the black plastic bits (on the door) that slot into the slots on the front of the MW. Now the door opens and closes OK, the light comes on and the numerical countdown starts on the timer but the MW doesn't start heating. Have I ruined any chance of it working again by my "filing down" the black plastic bits or what can i do?

How can I buy a replacement door for a 302 dishlex ?

Hi there,

I was looking for the same thing myself for our Dishlex 300 a few months back. Our problem was 1/ the handle wasn\'t releasing the door catch,

also 2/ the micro switch in the catch wasn\'t getting pressed down properly to tell the machine the door was closed, so the dishwasher wouldn\'t start. Both problems were related to the plastic ramp inside the door being worn where the tongue of the catch goes in.

We couldn\'t find one in NZ, so I made a tapered flat piece of wood to push the catch down between the main body and the door whenever we want to open it.

For the switch problem it was a bit harder - I opened up the plastic box at the top front of the machine (with the power off of course) and built up the plastic ramp that triggers the switch, using glue and then a file to shape it after the glue hardened.

I hope this is helpful.

Cheers.

We have a Universal Shredder 38103 at our office. The "open door" indicator is on and won't turn off. We have turned it off, unplugged it, cleaned it, vacuumed it out, removed as much loose paper bits as...

On the upper right corner of the bin opening you will see a slot in the black plastic. I taped a part of a business card into the slot and it now works. Just make sure to unplug the machine when the door is open.

Brothers MFC 7420 keeps displaying Back Door Open. Have cleaned etc. everything suggested on help websites, nothing works. Help coxmwc@aol.com

The back door is a double door. Inside the gray door is a black plastic paper guide that hinges down, also. Mounted on the inside of that is a thin, black rod, leading to a lever on your right, that swings through a slot in the side of the machine. Sometimes the lever gets bent so it doesn't fit into that curved slot. If that's your situation, gently force it back into the slot so it can block the sensor that tells it the back door is closed, and you'll be printing again.

The brother fax 2820 keeps signaling to me to close the back cover no covers are open

Open that back cover, and you'll see another, black plastic plate that also can be pulled to swing down. Running across that plate is a skinny black rod. At the right-hand end (when you're peering in the back of the machine) it has a couple of right-angle bends, ending in a vane that should swing through a curved slot in the side wall inside the machine. That vane interrupts a sensor to tell the machine that the door is open or that paper is jammed in the back. Sometimes it gets bent with the vane outside the curved slot. Gently bend it enough to drop it into the slot, close everything up, and try it out.

I do not know the combination number. We have a 3100 sentry Thank you Donna

if it is open already... Take off the plastic inside cover. lock the door "WITH IT OPEN " . turn it several times to the right then watch the inside most slot line up. Write that # down. Turn it to the left past that number and continue on till the middle slot lines up to the inner most slot. Write that # down. Then turn to the right until the outer most slot in the last disk lines up to the other two and write that # down.... Then OPEN the door. Now you put the combination where you wont love it hopefully. This will only work if the safe is locked open. Hope it helps.

I can't find my manual--model C4280-----I need to replace the black ink cartridge---I've got the door open and can see the cartridges---how do I release them to come out?? Thanks, Dennis Crawford

To replace the print cartridges
1.
Make sure the HP All-in-One is on.
CAUTION: If the HP All-in-One is off when you open the print cartridge door to
access the print cartridges, the HP All-in-One will not release the cartridges for
changing. You might damage the HP All-in-One if the print cartridges are not
docked safely when you try to remove them.
2. Make sure you have letter or A4 unused plain white paper loaded in the input tray.
3. Open the print cartridge door.
The print carriage moves to the far right side of the HP All-in-One.
4. Wait until the print carriage is idle and silent, and then lightly press down on a print
cartridge to release it.
If you are replacing the tri-color print cartridge, remove the print cartridge from the
slot on the left.
If you are replacing the black or photo print cartridge, remove the print cartridge from
the slot on the right.
1 Print cartridge slot for the tri-color print cartridge
2 Print cartridge slot for the black and photo print cartridges
5. Pull the print cartridge toward you out of its slot.
6. If you are removing the black print cartridge in order to install the photo print cartridge,
store the black print cartridge in the print cartridge protector or an airtight plastic
container.
7. Remove the new print cartridge from its packaging and, being careful to touch only
the black plastic, gently remove the plastic tape by using the pink pull tab.
If you go here you can download the user manual.
