Question about Fagor 24 in. FI-48W Dishwasher

1 Answer

Just past where the water inlet line connects to the Fl-48 Fagor there is some kind of thermal switch that is disconnected. I assume this has some kind of mechanical connection so that the line pressure does not blow it off. I do not see any kind of mechanical connection and there is no way to screw or fasten it down that I can tell. I got the machine used and don't have a parts list to see how it is supposed to be held on.

The installation parts list is available in the document at
FAGOR FI-48 Instuctions.

The figures at the beginning. I think you might be seeing the filter and electrovalve hanging at the water inlet. The type of fittings you need is shown in the figures 3, 4 and 5

Hoep this helps. Please post a comment to say how you went.

Fagor dishwasher showing f6

Please check fault codes on page 70 in this manual.
http://www.fagor.co.uk/documents/LFU-65iT.pdf

F6 would mean the water is not getting heated. I am not sure which model you have but if there is only a cold water inlet connection then either heater or thermostat is faulty. If you have both hot and cold water inlet then you may have to check if hot water is getting in at right temperature. Easiest way to confirm is to run dishwasher in cold cycle (short rinse) and see if it goes through. The heater would get used in warm/ hot wash cycles and drying.

Fagor dishwasher overflow

Consider that the problem may not be the float as mentioned. Leaking can be as simple as the door seals, or misalignment. If someone slams the door or runs into the door from the side, the normal alignment can be out of adjustment. Check the locking tab under the counter and see it that was moved and reset it. Seems you already fussed with the system and it did not solve the problem.

I have a Jenn-air JSD2789GEQ the ice maker was working but now has quit , the water is working but slow and not much preasure

Most likely your inlet valve is bad. To test this disconnect the hoses from the inlet valce. One line is from your home the other two are the ones you disconnect. Test the door water first. After that switch the quick connects that run to the inlet UNPLUG fridge first. Switch connections plug back in and than test water in door again. See how much water is coming out. If plenty of water than in may be in your reservoir or your filter. If low pressure disconnect water line from home and see if you have good pressure If you have good pressure from the house than replace the inlet valve. If you dont than check house water pressure. If you have any questions please feel free to comment me.

Dishwasher begins cycle then switches to rinse - no water seems to be entering the washer

Most possible that the inlet line is clogged at the filter or that the inlet valve is struck or faulty.
Please make sure with a voltage check if the inlet valve receives the voltage to it, if not the program controller is faulty.
Finally check the water line pressure at the inlet.

What does F20 on the display mean? The machine is making a noise and we can not turn it off!

IT IS POSSIBLE THE FLOW METER IS BAD OR THE CCU (ELECTRONIC CONTROL) IS READ A FALSE ERROR. OR THE WATER IS OFF TO THE WASHER. READ THIS ERROR CODE DESCRIPTION

If after 30 seconds not minimum 0.1l of water entered or maximum fi ll
time of 13 minutes is exceeded, the valves will be turned off and the
error code will be displayed. Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the
display.
Possible Causes/Procedure
If there is no water in the unit:
Make sure that both valves at the water source(s) are turned on
all the way.
Check for plugged or kinked inlet hoses or plugged screens in the
inlet valves.
Verify inlet valve operation.
If there is water in the unit:
Verify that the pressure switch hose is in good condition and
properly connected to tub and pressure switch.
Unplug washer or disconnect power.
Verify there is not a siphon problem.
Verify wire harness connections to inlet valves, pressure switch,
fl ow meter, and Central Control Unit (CCU).
Check all hoses for possible leaks.
Plug in washer or reconnect power.
Verify pressure switch operation.
Verify fl ow meter operation by blowing air through the part and
measuring the resistance.
Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic test or any cycle.

Water dispenser has stopped giving water. Have

HI. The first check will be to inspect the water filter(if equipped). When your filter device reaches its filtering limit, it will stop allowing the water to flow freely, thus, obstructing the normal flow. Replacing the filter will correct this issue, if the device is past its operating status. There should be an install date on the filter, itself. Filter must be changed out every 10 months. Ok, if the filter is not an issue, kindly, move on to the line inspection. Make sure none of the internal lines are frozen. If the lines have frozen over, this will be the issue.

Now. If all is well with the lines, and there are no obstructions, this will lead to a failed water valve assembly.

The water inlet valve is located behind your refrigerator. Find the water supply line coming into the valve and turn it off at the source (typically under the sink). Disconnect the supply line. Remove the screws that secure the inlet valve in place.

The water inlet valve is connected by two wires. Label the wire placement on the water inlet valve before disconnecting the wires. The wires are connected to the terminals with slip on connectors

Firmly pull the connectors off of the terminals (do not pull on the wire). You may need to use a pair of needle-nose pliers to remove the connectors. Inspect the connectors and the terminals for corrosion. If the connectors are corroded they should be replaced.

Inspect the filter screen where the supply line connects. Remove any debris or deposits that may have built up using a toothbrush, or warm running water. If you cannot clear the clog, it will be necessary to replace the valve (the filter is not removable on most inlet valves).

Test the water inlet valve for continuity using a multimeter. Set the multimeter to the ohms setting X100 (if available, otherwise use the nearest ohm setting). Place a probe on each terminal. The multimeter should display a reading of 200 to 500 ohms. Close inspection of the inlet valve and especially the coil may reveal the exact ohm resistance rating to test for. If the water inlet valve does not pass this test, it should be replaced.

Water problems

Hi. the first action is to check the water filter(If Equipped). Once a water filter reaches its filtering limit, it will stop the free flow of water immediately. This will require you to replace the filter asap, if needed. Once the filter is replaced, the water will flow freely once more. I would also advise to check the integrity of the lines. If the lines are frozen, this will cause a no-flow situation , as well. check to make sure that the lines are not frozen.

Ok, if the lines and filter are not the issue, kindly, proceed to the inspecting of the water inlet valve assembly.

The water inlet valve is located behind your refrigerator. Find the water supply line coming into the valve and turn it off at the source (typically under the sink, or behind the unit). Disconnect the supply line. Remove the screws that secure the inlet valve in place.

Ice maker not working

The activity with the water supply could have loosened some sediment in the line stopping up the little wire screen filter going into the water inlet valve. I would disconnect it and inspect the screen and flush the water line out before re connecting. Assuming you have water at the water dispenser Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.
