Question about HP PSC 1210 All-In-One InkJet Printer
Can anyone tell me where can I find a diagram of an HP PSC 1210 showing where everything belongs?
I very carefully opened it up to really clean it, but I think I somehow managed dislodged the wide white tape that connects the carriage to something....? on the left hand side in the back. If it was connected to something to begin with...
All the lights flash and an "E" error sigh is lit up. It worked fine until I did whatever I did.
Any help would be very much appreciated, as I really love this old printer and am very upset that I seem to have killed it.
Thanks in advance,
Sounds like your encoder strip came off? Here's a post where that's discussed for the same printer.
No pictures in this other post, but the first person tries to explain how to replace it. You might still have trouble after you put it back on. That's a critical part and one not designed to be replaced by the average user.
I am an HP employee. I do not represent HP on this site.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
