disassemble the dispenser motor assembly you may find that the position switch linkage is out of position. Re-seat the part and reassemble the dispenser motor assembly. That may just fix it. However I implore you to work through the troubleshooting steps, and you will soon isolate and repaper your issue.

Hi. If you are using a thick liquid fabric softener in this particular machine, there will be clogs present within the dispense section and the connecting siphoning tubes. This will cause the dispenser section to flood, during the cycle. This can be easily handled by pouring a cup of bleach in the entire deterngent/fabric softener dispenser section. After you have poured the bleach in the affected area, simply set the unit for a normal washing cycle. Let the unit complete the cycle. This should clear up the dispenser assembly. You can also add a cup of bleach in the tub, also. This will scrub the drainage system.

Concerning the suds:

This will usually be the cause of a backed up circulation system(debris blocking the hose) or you may simply be using the wrong type of detergent in the unit. This unit Will only use the HE(high efficiantcy) type detergent(liquid form). If you are not using the recommended type, the suds will continue to present a problem in the future.

    • Worst case scenario would require you to remove and purge all circulation and drainage hoses in your unit. The filter should be cleaned as well. Of course, this would be necessary if you are using the correct detergent and the bleach run dose not correct the dispenser issue.

This is usally caused by blockage in the actual pump. Remove hose ft=rom pump inlet side anc check for small items causing backpressure. examples kids sock, coins, rags. even clumped tissues.

Thanks for using FIXYA

Can you tell me where the hose is that has to be removed and what I have to remove to take it off?
    Thanks

The pump can be accessed by removing the screws on the inspection plate on the rear of the machine, However this can be awkward on some of the 9100 models as they vary, The more direct access is to lay it on its side and work from the bottom . Follow the exit drain hose back to pump and find the inlet hose on the other side. Undo the clips and inspect for bloackage. Make sure you do the clip back up yightly or else you will get leaks.
BTW depemding on how much soap you use the blockage can sometimes be congealed soap in the pump and hoses so alsoo give them a good flush through.

I Have Probleme whit my Whirlpool (SUD F02) Thank you

It sounds like you have a Whirlpool Duet instead of a Whirlpool Cabrio as the codes indicate a draining problem. Press Pause/Cancel twice to clear the display then unplug the machine. Remove the screws attaching the bottom front panel then pull the panel down and off. Prop up the front bottom edge of the washer or cushion and lean it against the wall to access the screws more easily.

Place a container or a piece of towel underneath the filter to catch spillage. You may need to drain the water from the machine by putting the end of the drain hose over a container on the floor. Position the container as low as possible to extract as much water.

Remove the drain filter by turning it counterclockwise and clean it.

Kenmore Elite and Whirlpool Duet Sud/F02 Error Code

I have a whirlpool duet washer, sometimes it stops and says sud, whats up with this

  1. First, attempt to unplug the washer for at LEAST 30 minutes to reset the Central Control Unit (CCU). Sometimes this is all that is required to correct momentary glitches with the unit. If the error code returns, proceed to step 2.
  2. Check the drain hose to make sure it is not kinked or clogged.
  3. Check the pump strainer. There are three screws at the very bottom of washer. You will need and extension and a star tip. I used a 9/32 socket to remove them. The front cover slides right off. Facing you is the pump strainer. Big white piece of plastic right in the middle. Turn the large white knob counter-clockwise to remove it and clean. It is the only thing you can unscrew by hand. Open it and clean anything you find out.

Last night I tempted to clean the large duet washer with the chlorine program. After starting, I realized I only had clorax bleach for colors and reluctantly used this. Large suds formed. I paused/cancel...

Drop your drain hose to floor level with bucket under it this will drain with no power applied , pour in as much water as you can to flush it out / clear pump .After all suds clear refit / restart ..Should now fill, wash/ empty and spin...I hope ...

WHIRLPOOL DUET SPORT WASHING MACHINE WILL NOT DRAIN ALL THE WAY C

I was getting an F and Sud error that wouldn't allow the washer to drain.
There's a good chance that its a clogged filter and very easy to fix.
1.Turn power off at breaker or unplug the washer.
2.Unscrew the 3 star head bolts on the bottom panel ( Look at the gap between the bottom panel and upper panel and you'll see them) Pull the panel off.
3.Right in front of you you'll see a white plastic with 2 hoses going into it and a black box attached. It has a circular knob. That's where the filter is located.
4. Unscrew the 1 silver screw attaching the filter housing to the washer... this will make it easier to access the white hose clamp. Slide the housing towards you to free it from the washer frame.
5. Grab a bucket to catch the water that's in the hose and place a towel under the washer too, this will keep any stray water from going all over.
6.You can use a pair of Chanel lock pliers to squeeze the hose clamp on the smaller white hose while you pull it free from the housing, aim that hose into the bucket and shake it a bit to get any particles out until it stops draining.
7. Now you can unscrew the white circular filter knob to the left, be prepared for some water to come out, keep the bucket and towel handy for this.
8. Pull the filter all the way out and more than likely you'll be surprised by how much **** is in there lol, I had a small screw driver, a nail, coins and many other misc. debris.
9. Shake the filter housing a little while its over the plastic bucket to help drain excess water and crud out of the hose and housing.
10. Clean the filter and make sure all the holes are clear.
11. Reinstall the opposite way you took it apart but keep the lower panel off to make sure nothing is leaking after you do step 12.
12.Turn the power back on and press the cancel button twice and make sure the washer is set to spin and drain cycle and run and watch it off and on until its done.
13. Go ahead and put the lower panel back on.

Hope that helps out !

Our Whirpool duet washer will not spin, gives us the SUDS and F02 message and now the door is locked.....suggestionss?

k now the washer beleives that it is full of water.
pour about 3/4 cup of veg oil in the dispenser. and start the unit.. this will get rid of the suds error.
F02 means long fill.. and the water level has not satisfied the computer for 40 secs. check water connections. making sure they are fully open.
to open the door if it does not unlock, in the dispenser there should be an ODD colored line, five that a tug and the door will pop open

F02 with good pump and clear filter... now what?

"F02" is a Long Drain error. If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes this error code will be displayed. In addition, a "SUDS" error may also be generated as a secondary error. This is an indication of a drain pump problem and/or clog in the drain line. You will need to check the following:

1. Check the drain hose to make sure it is not kinked or clogged.
2. Check the electrical connections to the pump and ensure the pump is running.
3. Remove the drain pump filter and check for foreign objects and/or debris.

To check the drain pump, click on the following link for step-by-step instructions.

If the above procedures do not correct the problem, it is recommended by the manufacturer to replace the drain pump

Whirpool Duet - Soap not getting into wash cycle

O.K. Is the water draining out properly? If the filter is blocked then your washing will be churning in dirty water as the machine will drain for a maximum time then rinse etc. in the used water.

I have a front loader whirlpool duet #ghw9100lw2

The filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 torx screws underneath. The panel will drop and come off. Drain off the excess water from the drain pipe you see. The white filter cover is right in front. Get yourself a good plastic bag to collect water. Unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the stuff and put it back in carefully. Check your pump too, comes after the filter.
