Epson DX6000 paper jam problem.

I have an Epson DX6000 all in one inkjet printer. My daughter spilt some small beads in the paper feed and now the paper jams every time I try to print. I've removed all the beads I can find and have given the unit a shake upside down to try and get the rest out. I am sure there is at least one bead jamming the paper inside. Can you tell me how to open up my printer to let me remove the beads still stuck inside the paper feed unit?

I've got the same problem, and no amount of shaking is working!

There may be still some beads jammed very deep inside the paper feed just under the feed rollers in the front of paperfeed mechanism. these can only be removed by removing the scanner unit, the upper casing and then the paperfeed mechanism itself. Or alternatively by manualy feeding a bit of thick cardboard through the paper feed to try to push the beads out. It would have to be cardboard like that of the box your printer came in.

Paper doesn't feed properly R2400

You may have a paper jam. A small piece of paper in the rollers will cause that. Open printer and look for any paper in between the rollers, pull it out.

Epson dx4050

Hello gemma almond,

Welcome, and thank you for using FixYa!

To answer your question: Your printer will need to be cleaned inside and checked for small shards of paper jammed within the paper feed path.
If you look inside of the printer, you will see small, rubber, feed tires (wheels) that pickup the paper. These tires also ensure that the paper feeds entirely through the printer. These tires can become dry and coated in clay off of the paper you use. Once they become coated, they slip on the paper.
Use a paper towel with Windex or Rubbing Alcohol to clean up these tires and an access ink you see inside of the printer.
This should fix your issue.

Have a great day!

My epson cs7800

I had the same problem and found a small spring was loose and interfering with the paper. The Spring was on the right side as you look at the printer, near the bottom of the paper feeder. I took it out and it works fine, for now.

Paper jam

i would Isolate the printer to know if the printer is getting
the error stand alone. Disconnect printer from pc and turn the printer off. take out any remaining paper. Check for small pieces of paper and look for obstruction inside the printer and the paper feeding area. Then try and do a stand alone nozzle check by holding the paper button down and turning the printer on keeping finger on the paper button for arounf 5 sec. now if that still doesnt feed the paper there could be something worng with the machine. hopefully your still under warranty.

There might be some problem with the Roller. I think you have to locate and clean the roller.
