Can you hook up computer to tv through vga to hdmi

restart pc in safe mode, change video back to standard VGA of HD VGA video. PC has to be in HDMI mode and your TV has to be PC mode. Use a DIV to HDMI connector or better yet HDMI to VideoPort if your TV supports it, HDMI almost never gives you the screen output you really want anyway.

This model does not have a HDMI outlet/port.
It does have a VGA port and if your TV has a 15pin VGA connector then you can connect your computer into this VGA (computer) port.

you can buy a graphic card for your computer which has hdmi port. Through that you can connect tv with your computer.

Do you have some type of converter that is changing the VGA connection from the laptop to a HDMI connection on the other end that goes into the TV? Otherwise, you'll need one.

If you have them both connected then on the TV you will need to select HDMI as the input.

The 1525has a a hdmi port which you can plug a hdmi cord into. This may not support the audio. the tv and pc should detect the new monitor automatically or you may have to toggle it by hitting F4 key.

Now i assume you have connected the Computer using a VGA cable ( 15 D pin connector )because if you had used an HDMI cable the sound would have come by default. The VGA cable only carries analogue Video signals. So you will have to get 3.5 mm phono to 2 RCA cable to connect the sound out of the PC to the TV's audio in socket ( next to the VGA socket labeled audio IN )

Are there multiple ways you can connect your PC to your TV. If your PC has a HDMI out just hook that up to your TV (if it has one too of course). If your PC doesn't have HDMI out but does have DVI out, you can buy a DVI to HDMI adaptor and hook it up to your TV. If it doesn't have DVI out or HDMI out but does have a VGA out you can use that to hook your PC up to your TV (if it has VGA in). There are many things you can do. Including...

As you can see, there are many ways to do connect them. You can decide what method you prefer.

If your laptop has a VGA port, your Vizio needs to have a VGA port too so you can use a standard VGA monitor cable.

If your laptop has a DVI port, you hook it up to the Vizio using a DVI-to-HDMI cable.

And if your laptop has an HDMI port, you hook it up using a standard HDMI cable.
