There might be a problem in a air combition chamber and air filter just check it and clean it with the proper tool like bush for air filter and petrol kerosene disel or oil for air fuel combition chamber. Now your bike will smooth up on throttling up.

Acceleration problem

Could be a clogged fuel filter, could also be a slight crack in the throttle body gasket. get a spray bottle with water in it, set it to mist, while the vehicle idles, spray around the base of the throttle body, if it bogs down replace the throttle body gasket. Just curious, was it doing it before you changed the plugs and wires? If not make sure you have the firing order correct.

I have a 2005 Diamo 150 scooter. It always starts when the engine is cool but it sometimes stops or fails to start when it is warmed up. What is the problem with my scooter?

Hi, Jerry the following applies to carbureted also fuel injected models and the usual suspects are:

1. Severely discharged or a damaged battery, 9 volts or lower.

2. Failed alternator/generator and or voltage regulator.

3. Loose or corroded battery terminals and or cables especially the "NEGATIVE" cable, look for loose, corroded, or broken connectors inside the cable harness at "BOTH" ends.

4. Failed main circuit breaker or ignition switch, check for loose connections and continuity.

5. Failed system and or ignition relay, check for continuity.

6. Failed ignition coil, ignition/electronic module.

7. Failed CKP, CPS, CMP, MAP, TPS, or BAS sensor, corroded, loose or broken wire connector pins/sockets.

8. Throttle cables and or idle speed improperly adjusted hot idle speed should be 950 RPM to 1000 RPM.

9. Air/fuel mixture screw improperly adjusted.

10. Water or dirt in the fuel system, carburetor or filter.

11. Restricted, blocked or kinked fuel line.

12. Fuel tank empty.

13. Gas cap is not venting properly or fuel tank venting system blocked.

14. A failed fuel pump, pressure regulator and or fuel injectors.

15. Vacuum line from intake manifold to petcock broken, cracked, or not attached, carburetor vent line plugged.

16. Needle and seat stuck closed in the float bowl.

My 2002 4 cylinder highlander intermittent has starting problems. It will seem like it starts then will die.I have to hit the gas pedal couple times then it starts. Could it be time to change spark plugs?...

It could be all the above plus it could also be a bad fuel pump.My best suggestion would be have your plugs changed and take a look at them if there is a high carbon build up then check your air filter, ignition components and your engine control systems. If they have a gray or tan colored build up then there burning ok. I would try a tune up first to see what kind of response you get before going at the engine components. Also it wouldn't hurt to have the fuel pressure tested to make sure its at the proper pressure to eliminate the fuel pump.

09 700 ranger wont idol

Could just need maintenance service (spark plug, air filter, oil change).

Idle could set to low, but if it was idling OK, the idle doesn't normally change.

Could be throttle position sensor (TPS), or fuel pump. Polaris Dealer can hook it up to the diagnostic port and see what's happening.

Hope this helps.

I have an 1989 4.3 it wont start unless i press the gas pedal down. then once it is started it idles fine but as soon as you put it into gear and try to give it throttle it dies, but if i am lucky enough...

Change the gas filter if you havn't already done so. It sounds like fuel restriction to me or perhaps a faulty fuel pump or cheap gas has blocked the gas filter. Hope this helps! Good luck!

Burb is missing. put new fuel filter in plugs, wires.may be water

If one cylinder is missing at idle, it would be useful to know which one. Pulling the plug wires one at a time with insulated pliers would tell us if one does not cause a change.
It could be a fouled plug.
You could switch plugs with another, to verify.

If not spark, could be fuel.
If throttle body, then not likely.
If individual injectors, then pull whole rail off and see if all injectors fire, spray pattern like cone, and none dribbling.

If none of above, then consider intake leak, collapsed lifter, valve adj, etc.

Somewhere along the the line you may have a fuel blockage or a good dose of water in your fuel tank.Check the water in tank 1st.Add 1 litre of metholated spirits to every 20 litres of fuel. This will allow the water to break down and be burnt through the motor over time.Do this twice. If this does not work, there may be a glob of **** in the fuel tank that blocks the pickup. If this is the problem, the tank needs to be taken out and cleaned.I hope this is a start to get you back on the road.

DID YOU WET THE CAR,IF DID MUST REMOVE ALL WATER,NO MOISTURE AT ALL. TRY PULLING OFF ONE WIRE AT A TIME AND SET IT IN A SAFE LOCATION AND RUN IT,SEE IF PROBLEM MOVES OR NOT.
