I have a Sasco Portable 300 OHP, the focus assembly is broken

I have a Sasco Portable 300 OHP, the focus assembly is not working due to a broken cable. Can anyone show me how this assembly goes back together please? A picture would be very helpful. Thank you in advance.

The focus is adjusted by turning a knob. The assembly behind the knob is a cable/pulley system. The cable is broken and I could use some help in how it was originally configured. The problem is mechanical not electrical

The product is not a data projector it is an overhead projector for displaying transparencies, no longer commonly used during lectures but a very useful tool for artists like myself. The problem is not electrical. When I refer to 'cable' I mean a fine steel cable that connects to the Focus control knob and then mechanically moves the lens. An ideal solution would be a photo or drawing of how the assembly should look when intact.

I am very grateful for the solutions posted so far, unfortunately non has helped. I suspect that part of the problem is that there is no category for OHP's. I'm sure someone out there has a similar model, a diagram or photo of the focus assembly for a Sasco 300 portable OHP would be the ideal solution. Thank you guys ( and galls)

I'm really asking for help from someone who owns a similar model and is willing to remove the cover of the focus control and sending a pic. THANKS FOR Your effort, it is is appreciated. just to confirm that the model is a sasco portable (foldaway) model 300. I believe 3M have a similar model, thank you again for your efforts, it is appreciated, Kind regards, Walt

Hi,
I have 3M 9800 slide projector service manual that might help you to get fixed your Sasco 300 projector. I can email you that service manual copy as it might help you to get it fixed.
If you post few pictures of focus knob mechanism here that will be helpful to share info about how to fix it.
Below is an image of 3M 9800 projector, is it similar to your projector?
Thanks.

Thank you for your help. unfortunately this diagram does not relate to the projector I have. the focus is controlled not by moving the length-arm up and down but rather by moving the lens position on a fixed length arm, controlled by a knob connected by steel cable to the lens holder. If anyone out there owns a similar projector then removing the side cover and photographing it would help me make a repair. Thank you for your help

OK, I'm afraid, I do not have such service manual to provide you any helpful info to solve your projector issue.
You may please post your question again so any other expert will answer it.
    Thanks.

Hi, I do not have a pciture of the assembly but I can show you some ways on how to assemble it.

First check your broken cable on what part specifically is broken. Meaning is it on the adpater itself, or is it in the middle, etc..

Next check your manual and also in your compartment if you have spare parts for possible replacement. From what I know, if you have broken cables in the unit itself, you are entitled for a cable replacement. Just read your contract with Sasco.

Finally, make sure that the end points of the cable and other cable connected with are compatible with each other..

I also suggest to turn off the projector, remove cables and Press & hold the power button for 10 seconds . Then turn on the projector...

Ohp sensor error in ir2880

OHP Sensor may be out of alignment with the reflector in the Paper Feeder Frame Assembly, there may be a loose connection, or it may be faulty.
Open the Right Door Assembly and the OHP Sensor (with a blue tinted lens) is located on the machine side in the center below the registration roller and the ITB. Ensure that the sensor is correctly seated in the mounting frame and re-seat the harness to the sensor. If code will not clear replace the sensor. (RH7-7129-020)

My epson c2000 printer have a "service req e033"

Because the Epson AcuLaser Color 2000 was made for Latin America, there's not much information that I can give you concerning your Service Error Condition. All I can tell you is that the Service Request error # E033 is an Engine Related Service Call Error Message for OHP Detection Sensor Malfunction [abnormal condition]. Check to see if the windows on the OHP sensor are dirty and clean OHP sensor window and the OHP sensor reflective window. I'm sorry, but I can't even tell you where the OHP sensor is located, or anything else about it. If you cannot figure it out using your Owners Manual/Users Manual, you can always e-mail Epson Technical Support for possible help or advice, at epson.com

I have an epson SX200 could you please tell me what paper type I go on to print on acetate. I remain hopeful

This product does not support acetate or OHP printing due to the relative inexpensive cost associated with the device epson marketed this for Photo printing and general B-W colour prints only. it is not recommended to print on acetate or OHP film.

If this answered your question please rate the resolution accordingly

Ricoh SP C410dn Paper only prints 11cm and stops in the Bypass T

do not use ohp film in this device as it will jam due to the use of optical paper sensors unless your ohp has a paper backing. you can set up the bypass tray for thick paper type to increase fuser temp to get better fusing etc

FD 200 MAVICa won't focus

Do yopu remember if the front (lens) area received a hit, even though with low force?

I am asking because in most MVC-FD cameras I opened to fix them about the same focus problem, I did find that an internal bracket that holds the lens assembly, it was bent due to an external force or hit in the front.

The bent bracket really was not the problem. The reason of the focus issue was that when the bracket was bent, the flat ribbon cable of the lens was pressed against a mounting screw, causing that the flat ribbon cable was damaged (punctured) affecting 2-3 traces of it, and preventing the lens to operate properly.

Repairing such problem requires to either replace the damaged flat ribbon cable, or the whole lens assembly.

You can get your hands in a broken camera with good lens assembly, and swap the parts.

Best regards,

Camera won't autofocus

Auto-focus technology on this camera is controlled by several contacts on the mount that physically mate with other contacts on your lens. It sounds like your mount may be malfunctioning due to wear and tear (if cleaning does not work). This is between $100 and $300 fix depending on which part(s) need replacement.
