I think you have not installed the graphics driver ....
check whether you have installed the graphics driver or not ...
if not install it and then you will be able get other resolutions ...
if already installed then try uninstalling and reinstalling driver...
if you are using the windows xp then it might have detecte automatically the standard graphics driver so try installing your graphics driver from the manufacture cd ....
then you will surely be able to get the other resolutions ...

if any problem reply me i am always here to assist you ..
thank you
bye

My 933sn has this stupid problem. when playing old games at 800x600 half the screen gets streched vertically. i play all the other games at 1360x768 but some like age of empires 2 or counter strike,...

Try changing the resolution your TV is putting out; it may not be in full screen, but at least everything won't be stretched! 800x600 has a different ratio than 1360x768

FPD1960 TFT LCD Monitor that turns on and you see the Windows Screen, and then goes black. Each time I turn it off and then back on, it repeats this pattern. All cables are securely fastened, I am using...

Windows is using a video mode the LCD monitor can't display. The cable doesn't matter in this case. It's an issue of the refresh rate and the resolution set in the system.

When the system boots, hit F8 just before the Windows splash screen would come up. Start the computer in safe mode with networking support. It should be able to come up in safe mode because the resolution will go to 640x480 or 800x600 by default.

Once you get to the desktop, go under the desktop properties. Hit Advanced. then go under the monitor tab. Make sure the monitor is defined. If it says generic display it will give you resolutions and refresh rates you can't use. If it isn't defined, you can install the driver under properties.

Finally, set the default resolution to something easy like 800x600 and try the refresh around 60-65hrz.

I see two screens on my desktop.

You are using a screen resolution that is not supported by your monitor. Start the computer in safe mode and open display properties. What ever resolution and color depth is (usually 640x480 and 16 colors), click OK button. Restart the computer. Go to display properties and increase the color depth to the maximum value. Set the resolution to 800x600. Restart the machine. Do you see double screens? No? Great! Now try increasing the resolution to the next level. (1024x768). When you click 'apply' you will be give 15 seconds to say it is OK. So if you see double screens, do not click anything. Display will revert to 800x600 resolution (and you will see only a single screen!)

Without knowing any more about your system I can only give you a couple of general ideas.
First try updating to the newest video card drivers possible.
You can try going to the drivers tab in display adapters in device manager and click update drivers.
Failing this, if your system is more than a few years old you will probably have to update to a more current video card to get the resolution that you need.
The native resolution for your screen is 1280x1024.
